Hell no to Humphries at all. Warren is a way better player, shit, a parking cone would do better than Humphries.
I think Warren is the better RT for sure. I just don't think he's a good enough tackle to be able to flip to the other side and not take a significant hit that would make him worse than Humphries.

That's why I think it's Humphries if something happens. Not saying I love it, just saying that's what I think would happen.

Folks have the errors Humphries made against the Falcons still fresh in their mind. Do you not think the guy has worked on that? I said before in a thread that I remember when folks didn't think McClendon was very good...and look at the guy now!!!

If Jackson goes down, McVay will make the call. I'll leave it there.

As horrible as Humphries was against Atlanta, no thank you. I'd rather put Warren or even Hav at the LT. I'm sorry but Humphries is.....what do the kids say nowadays?.....oh yeah, he is straight cheeks. I hope the Rams cut bait with him after this year because he made many of us miss Brokeboom and that's saying something.

I always believed that Humphries sucked and even called his signing meh when we brought him in. So my view on him was way before those errors. His play simply solidified that I was correct. I hate that I'm right because it obviously doesn't help us if he goes in. McVay would be smart to say "Bye Felicia" once the offseason starts :laugh4:

I am getting a laugh of how recency bias just shows how human beings perceptions work.

I see a lot of talking heads... "Seattle is just too dominant"

They had ONE GAME recently where they dominated. The only scored 13 pts against a horrible 49ners defense last game of the year.

they should have lost against us... the Carolina game they didnt look that good until the 4th quarter.

Everyone acting like that domination of the 49ners was what they have been doing all day long.

not even close to reality.

If you go back and watch that week 18 game vs SF, the Seattle staff was absolutely terrified of Darnold making a mistake. He didn’t pull the trigger on a wide open TD on the opening drive and the staff kept the training wheels on for the rest of the game.

Let's hope we don't have to find out the cheeks of either of these guys at LT these playoffs.

Their defense is one of the best - but their QB is still suspect as ever.

They should be favored, but people forget we had the lead in both games we have played against them the majority of the games.

I like the "calmness" the Rams are showing as "Game Day" approaches. Our team knows how good they can be. I believe they are focused and ready to go. Once again I believe McVay will put the defense out there first if he wins the coin toss.

We know Seattle fans are looking at how their defense annihilated the 9ers...but...THE RAMS ARE NOT THE 9ers!!! They also know they got a "ref aided bogus calls" win (if they're real with themselves). I really believe they're shaking in their boots, but making themselves feel confident.

So...I say like Marvin Gaye sang:

LET'S GET IT ON!!!

I sometimes watch the play-by-play feed on cbssports, which gives the "box score" of every play. Last weekend, I was surprised to see (several times) other teams reporting one of their linemen as "eligible" but they weren't targeted at all... I wasn't watching video feed of the game, so I had no idea why they'd bother to do this... but after I thought about it, didn't we get flagged recently by one of our linemen straying too far downfield? and get a TD nullified?? would reporting him as eligible eliminate that risk?
Also: if you report a lineman as eligible, couldn't that give you an advantage on passing plays? i.e. if he's "eligible", couldn't a Center go just far enough past the LOS to maybe interrupt an LB on a crossing route for a TE?
I'm no rules expert. But yes he wouldn't have to worry about his positioning if he's declared.

But I don't think that advantage extends to anyone else on the OL. Interesting point.

I'd be confident if I were them too. They just kicked the crap out of SF, and we haven't played our best football in weeks. That said, I am not at all scared of Seattle. We dominated them for the first 3.25 quarters in each of our first two meetings. In both games, we let them back into it in the 4th quarter. They certainly are capable of beating us, but if the Rams show up and play to potential, I believe we will win. Why? Matthew Stafford vs. Sam Darnold. Still, we have to bring our A game.

Regardless, I hope the Seahawks are as cocky as their fans.

Yes, if an OL is eligible, they won't get called for an ineligible man downfield (unless a WR lines up wrong and covers them up). However, you can't declare your Center eligible and have them run a route. The OL can't be covered up by players on the LOS on both sides, so it has to be the OL aligned on the end of the line. And if the OL runs a route, they obviously aren't allowed to commit OPI (by blocking or setting an illegal pick).

He's not an elite QB. But he's no longer a scrub either. This is two seasons in a row he's led a team to a strong regular season finish. If it wasn't for him playing on a division rival I'd be happy for him.

The strength of Seattle is their defense. They are disciplined and get stops when they need them. I think the Rams match up well with them, though. Far better certainly than they did vs Chicago. Who had everything aligned for sending us home, but the Rams experience and tenacity won out.

Stafford is a big element in this game. If he plays like shit, then our biggest advantage is nullified. And Seattle's defense is going to come out with high intensity and the crowd behind them, so removing the crowd is important. He can't be failing to note rushers, same goes for the backs. Identify them, have those hots ready, throw it away when necessary and take care of the ball.

The defense we'll see. I am hoping they are back to how they played earlier this season now that Lake's healthy. There is reason to think that is the case. The Seahawks need to exorcise their Rams demons the way the Rams did the Shitters in '21. But if the defense can dominate up front and force Darnold into mistakes we're very much in this thing.

Watch JV's presser, they are READY and HUNGRY....

You dont think they got the last game on their minds and they want to make it right......????

Rams cant afford to have a slow start. Seattle with an early lead would be trouble
Going to have to adjust the tendancies.

We ran 11 times in the first half of the first game (14-9 lead) for 85 yards (7.7 ypc).
In the second game we ran 24 times in the first half (13-7 lead) for 90 yards (3.8 ypc)

In the second half of both games we ran for 34 yards each....(11 att in the first 3.1; 15 att in the second 2.3)

I'm sure they have studied both games as well as Seattle's last 2 games vs SF. I feel we'll see a lot of passing but who knows? We haven't been running much 13 P lately IIRC.

Since taking the reins in Los Angeles, McVay has coached in 15 postseason games. Incredibly, every single one of those matchups has been against a different franchise.

Until now...
