Frankly I'm tired of everyone, me included, giving McVay equal parts blame whenever Goff plays like total shit for a game. Why is it this guy has to have ideal circumstances in every game for him to pull one out for us in the end? Can you bail us out for once in your career Jared? Jesus.

even with a depleted team, the 49ers look better than the Rams-

as I said in the GDT, Goff has to leave his girlfriend alone on Saturday nights..makes your legs weak

All I'm gonna say is that it's really good that this happened before the bye instead of after. They have two weeks to work.

Goff didn't play well in the first half at all, he should be able to adjust pass protection, to protect the ball, to not make two really bad INTs.

Side note, we've played 5 out of 8 games on the road and travelled to the East 4 times. Rest of the schedule, we'll go the the Bucs once, otherwise at Sea, at Ari and 5 games at home. This should make a difference.

Have some rest, watch tape, figure out that 0 blitz shit, and come back super pissed against the Hawks.

Agreed wholeheartedly but those are separate issues. There appears to be no hot routes in the playbook which is mind boggling at this point.

A couple times today i was waiting for the (run)draw play on 3rd down. Rams rarely run it(usually only in give up situations) but IMO they could have created a big play vs the jail break today.

McV just kept dropping Goff back. Not even a whole lotta 2 step stuff either to get it out quick. There was some of that but even the 2 step stuff was ALWAYS horizontal it seemed.

Where are the hot routes? I see bad teams find them every week. I'm stupified.

Either goff didn't know what it was or mcvay didn't have a good one.. but there was a big plan fail on the zero blitz for sure.

However they did do some quick passes against the zero blitz... some that worked in the 2nd half - but a few got tipped in the 1st half.

Staley needs to go.....

I gave someone the business for calling Goff out today... So now I am going to sound hypocritical.... But.... Vent thread.

Goff is not getting better in my eyes. He threw off his back foot all day today.... Even before the pressure was there. Goff should have had a pick 6 and another pickle by my count. Between him and McVay today.... I have a lot more doubts than I ever thought I would. That was pathetic.

Kyle gets a lot of shit for his Super Bowl blunders and understandably so. But he’s also able to adjust his offense on the fly with Jimmy fuckin G as quarterback. I hate the Niners as much as any other Rams fan but I’ll give him credit where it’s due. He runs a very successful offensive system and he calls to his team’s strengths. You hate to see it.

Agreed. He’s not improving with his audibles. I’m afraid this is probably Goff’s last year as a Ram. Wish he would have watched Tom Brady tape and emulated that. They have the exact same skill set.

Having a Monday nite game then traveling for an early Sunday game made a short week even shorter. That said McVay's staff have been scouting each opponent for weeks. There is an excuse for the players coming out fatigued but no excuse for being outcoached. It's like he didn't know who the opposing coach was. If he had ridden his run attack IMO they win this game easily.

McVay is a good HC, but he outthinks himself too many times. He underestimated the Fin pass defense. Once that was apparent you flip the script and go run-heavy. But no he's locked into having a "balanced offense" he handicaps himself. Most coaches would ride what is working and force the defense to stop it. But McVay stops himself by simply going away from it.

STs sucked all game long. That ground rolling KO was obviously called by Bonamego and it gave up field position. The coaches must simply stop being stupid. This was a loss for the offensive and STs coaches.

Yep. Rat face is definitely the better offensive coach. They put up points with pretty much any QB they put out there.
