Game Day Thread

The GDT is a live thread tradition here at ROD.

While we all get fired up watching the game, please remember our core principles; we always show respect for our team and each other.

Despite the emotional highs and lows watching a game, we will moderate this thread with that in mind, however please refrain from name calling. This applies to players, the Rams organization, and each other.

This is the core rule of the GDT. Moderators are tasked to issue thread bans, at a minimum, to maintain this standard.

This is our team. Win or lose. Good days and bad. We are here for FUN, not to be dragged down.

A more loosely moderated atmosphere can be found in the chat room.

Go Rams!

I hate to say it... but somehow Our Rams find ways to lose to the 9ers over the past few years. We know they beat them to advance to SB LVI when it was really on the line. Who can forget Donald single handedly going after Jimmy G, making him throw that pick 6 to end it???

The Rams are 0-1 in the division and simply need to win to go 1-1 in the division, where the 9ers are 3-0 and Seattle is 1-1. It puts them in the running for Division Champs as well as having the head to head tie breakers.

As has been said, being...LASER FOCUSED, is the way!!! I say Rams 31- 9ers 23

On paper, Rams should win this game fairly easily. But Shanny has McVay by the balls on a regular basis, so expecting it to be a nail biter unless we come out and take chances and play aggressively.

A problem is Shanahan's system is not a good fit for our defense. We play a little loose to keep everything in front of them. That is a staple of the Shanahan offense. Underneath stuff and moving the chains. Jones is a better fit than Purdy for that. He'll gladly check down if the coverage is good. Purdy not so much.

That is why we have trouble with their offense. I hope Shula plays everything closer to take that away. But it would go against their philosophy to prevent big plays. They want to be patient and wait for a mistake like bad pass, drop, penalty, etc. Tighten up as they get closer to the goal line. Last game they were good in the second half. Only gave up a couple field goals in regulation.
