Bonus: Adams running a post into the spine of the defense, doesn't seem to be shying away from it!:laugh4:

This stuff to me is what quarterbacking is all about. People like to talk a lot more about the mobility and the cannon arm, but the QBs that have had the longest and best careers were intelligent ones who knew how to manipulate defenses.

Simpson has the #1 trait for a top QB. We'll see how some of his limitations affect things.

From listening to McVay, the key to succession isn't primarily based on whether Simpson is ready. It's whether Stafford wants to go. I agree that not having Simpson start after two years isn't ideal, but if I'm the Rams, I don't think I would push Stafford out if he still wants to play and is playing at a high level.

You're saying you would push him out! Right?
Rams: "We're done! We're moving on to Simpson."
Read my very first post on this.

My take was that if he’s not starting by year 3, the Rams misunderstood the situation.

My point is about the pick and the timeline.

Would I force Stafford out if he had a pro bowl caliber year? No.

Would I if he was middle of the pack and showed signs of aging? Absolutely.
