WR made so much sense. Adams is slowing down, he's an alright no. 2 now. Puka cant keep playing this physical and expected to stay healthy. Wasted opportunity

Agree, but with Cooper Kupp as a 3rd rounder and Puka as a 5th rounder, I'm not as worried about McSnead finding a gem on day 2 or 3.

I don't really care about a year or 2 from now. Simpson needs to become a guy that can carry his team and consistently come thru when the game is on the line to justify blowing off players that could really make a difference now. Especially if we don't get to another SB with Stafford.

Yeah so after doing other things for a couple hours...pick still makes no sense.

Have a superbowl team that needs bolstering and instead take a guy you hope doesnt need to.play this year.

And on top of that a player who likley wouldnt have been a.1st rounder in many years and took.him at 13...
Actually, it makes all the sense in the world.

The 2026 NFL Draft isn't just about the 2026 NFL Season and most rookies don't make immediate impacts. And that's the big issue most seem to have either forgotten or haven't even noticed.

The Rams won their Super Bowl with very little help from their rookie draft class.

And in a weaker draft class, a lot of the players selected tonight wouldn't have been first round picks in many years.

Just out of curiosity, what players have met Sean McVay before the draft since he has stopped going out to the combine and all-star games and having 30 visits?
Players can visit teams. It goes both ways. Especially players that have first round potential. They are given a number of visits they can take. For example when Stafford came out for the draft, he visited the Lions, Jets, and 49ers. He met all their coaching staffs and toured the facilities.

Yes. Players can visit teams. But I guessing that you didn't notice the change the Rams made a few years back? They don't do them. They send staff (not McVay) to the players instead.

The Rams don’t do them because they’ve drafted in the top 30 exactly twice in the last 9 years. Why would you have a top 30 visit when you don’t have a top 30 pick?

I’m just telling you, it’s extremely unusual for McVay and Simpson to have never had a conversation. Throw in McVay’s demeanor at the presser, and the fact that this player has a personal relationship with Snead….its pretty easy to see what happened.

Yeah, well lets see what Mannings stats look like the year he comes out. Then compare. Everyone agrees Manning had a pretty mediocre year.
Does it really matter? If the Rams have the season they expect to have they wouldn't have a shot at him anyway picking at the bottom of the 1st round.

With this pick, Rams are thinking long term with a year or two left with Stafford. We will not have enough to grab a QB next year because we may be picking near end of the draft, Hopefully 32! Wont be enough to trade for someone.

We do not have a high 2nd rounder neither is why we picked him at 13. our 2nd rounder this year is #61 I believe.

Rams dont think Bennett is nothing more than a Bench Warmer. Jimmy is prob retiring. Yes, They could have traded down, but they wanted thier guy. At 13 its a risk, but Everyone wanted Sadiq or Lemon, but we are loaded at TE right now, and WR they will prob just pick in later rounds or now go after someone via FA or trade.

You lost me. Those visits aren't just for players expected to be 1st rounders.

Verse and McVay never had a conversation prior to the draft. That's the way they do things.

I'm not even sure how he would even have time to meet with every potential option unless they scheduled them in large bunches.

Oh my god, does he think a top 30 pick is for the top 30 picks in the draft

The guy in the first clip said the rams offense lacks juice. The #1 offense in the NFL last year lol invalidated his whole segment.
If juice means explosives, speed, freak athleticism and home run ability….he’s 100% correct.
