Where are all the Offense sucks threads? We’ve got multiple week to week defense sucks threads. I see one Bobby Evans punching bag thread and a we had a weird Stafford thread that died out for good reason.

Because it will fizzle out due to lack of responses. Nobody is going to argue that the offense is just fine. Everyone is quite aware of the offense's deficiencies.

The fact that you’re equating the two shows just how wildly disconnected from reality you are.

They know.. because it’s fact. The numbers and what we see in the field show this is a catastrophic offense.

You CANNOT make that case with the D!! It’s top 10, for fuck’s sake!!

That winning Brady drive will live in rams infamy for decades to come.

Rams fans will have inside jokes and make references to that abomination so avert your eyes if you can’t accept how much of a laughing stock the play calling was across the league, announcers and analysts.

Because the offense is a personnel issue….we know the online is in shambles. What else can be done? Maybe some more risk taking down field. Not sure.

But the defense has some serious coaching issues in crunch time.

Blue font? Why on earth would ANYONE remember a late drive between two losing teams in a 13-9 (at the time) shit fest of a game??

I am so glad I didn't watch it, however :)

This has never been about which side of the ball is the worst. You and the Morris defenders seem to always make it that. And all of us who don't like the D scheme keep telling you that we know the O is the worst of the 2 sides. It is why we expect more from the D. It is because we need them to do more to make up for the # 8 and 9 guy on the Oline. But hey, if your okay with the coaching effort. If your ok with the last drive by tampa, fine. Remember this, though, McVay has relied on the D to close out most of the close games. He calls 3 running plays that get us no 1st downs to make the other team use their time outs and punts it and expects his D to close it out. He has been doing that since he has been here.
I said the same exact thing in another post of mine

Found from another board.

It's a good (and flawed) defense....IMO

Other season defensive stats:
Yards/play- 12th
Rushing yards/attempt- 5th
Passing yards/attempt- 12th
Passing yards/completion- 8th
QB Rating- 18th
Scoring drives %- 14th
QB pressure %- 31st
TFL- 29th
Red Zone Scoring- 2nd
3rd Down %- 23rd

Clearly some good and some not-so-good in there. They are not getting enough pressure up front. Obviously. And being behind in games they are not able to just get after the passer as much as they did in 2021.

This is the only reason we are keeping other teams from scoring lots of points.

Our red zone defense is excellent.

Lol..
yeah… rash of problems… 16 points.

Put that next to a historically bad performance by the offense.

Nah, nevermind. Don’t.

Lol
13 points by the offense is a historically bad performance? Really?
Guess you were never around for the Spags and Fisher days huh?

Outside of your mind numbing posts can two things not be true? Our Defensive strategy is absolutely garbage without the right personal and our offense is devastated by injuries and bad play calling?

No, but it has to be one or the other right?:eyeroll::explode1:

Historically? So like, we're including Jack Thompson era? Doug Williams? Lol
Historically speaking, that jerkoff #12 has been pretty good
?? Did you not read the tweet? Since 2020?

You might have missed some of the other relevant stats.. 8 3 and outs... 200 yards.. fewest first downs ever by a McVay team.. .3 yards per play on first down, lowest for any team since 2006..
I could go on...

The defense shit the bed on the last possession. One possession isn't damning of a scheme or season.. it's a bad possession.

The team is #6 in points and yards against... that's a good defense, no matter how YOU want to paint it because you don't like the way it looks.

Garbage? Dude, you've lost touch with reality.

Great stuff.

I don't think their current numbers are sustainable, but we'll see. I just think the lack of a real pass rush is going to catch up with them more.

That’s the problem it’s not one possession, it’s continuously wrecking situational football defensively.

News flash: we don’t have Von Miller anymore to contain and create pressure which this type of defensive scheme needs.

It’s not working, and if your defensive scheme is not working at any point when you need to, it’s time to consider something else.

So now you admit that the last defensive drive was shitting the bed? They have shit the bed in the most important moments this season.

They had 2 4th down stops in the 4th. Doesn't get any more crunchy time than that.

Lol..

You still can't address the reality of the defense's overall performance because you don't like the way it looks and because it fell apart on that last drive.

I *know* how it looks.. and I don't give a fuck. I care about it's overall effectiveness, because football is a team game that spans 60 minutes.

Your view on that 60 minutes is that because the defense fell apart there, it's a disaster scheme that needs to be thrown out, along with the coaches.

My view is that they did their job and a catastrophically bad offense is an anchor pulling the entire team down.

My view is that the defense never should've had to get back on the field after the last stop.
And my view is the one the team has.

You talk about the Rams not having the personnel to run their scheme.. they are running EXACTLY the scheme for the personnel on the field. If there's a mis-evaluation of Rochell or another CB that could put Kendrick on the bench? That's one thing.. but if you want to be more aggressive with that kid, be ready to be beaten over the top.. again... and again.. and again. They only are rolling Rapp and Scott at safety... you gonna put either one of them in single coverage????

You're a good, smart poster. You wrote about how shitty Lewis has been.. and how Floyd is pretty invisible most of the time. You know they ain't got it.

You also posted this..

Negative emotion gets more interaction from people.

I'd think data analytics the last 7 years prove that with FB and other social media platforms customizing their algorithms to a negative reaction by the next populated video to a particular user. They are more than likely to get watching, posting, and more.

Bad offensive play, idiotic defensive strategy, injuries, and bad drafting. Negative emotions get more interactions.

And it's more right than you know. Especially when it comes to the conversation about the defense... but it's right in a way you're not getting.

I really need to look at the first 3 quarters vs the 4th quarter in all 22

I have been saying over and over that we mixed up our defensive scheme in the first 3 quarters from soft to 1 CB pressing his man after the first series. And it was working.

Then in the 4th qtr, we went 100% soft and TB just drove down the field with 0 resistance until they got to the red zone. And that's when we stiffened up.

But again, I need to rewatch the first 3 quarters to verify my statement with 100% accuracy.
