TERRIBLE!!! Not a deal breaker though. Depth is decent. Kinchens starts and then there's McCollough. Wallace can go DB or Safety also.

Kichens is put together pretty well in terms of his body type.
Well, both those guys were usually out there with Lake and 2 CBs (two of Forbes, Durant and Williams).
A couple of the above five players could be asked to take-on different responsibilities but the main question is who will join them. Josh Wallace was the guy on Sunday; and McCollough could see additional snaps. Curious to see if McCreary gets some snaps on defense, as more of a pure Nickel-CB (his primary role in TN).
Guessing Kam Curl wears the green-dot because of a positive comment McVay made on his Monday presser.

I think Wallace will slip into Q's role. At least that's what McVay suggested on Monday

Just sucks because he had a very specific role as dime-backer in Dime and now we lose that if he moves over.

They made 1 move before the trade deadline. McCreary. And it was to cover if something happened to Lake. These guys are pretty smart.

Very different players. McCreary definitely gives us a guy who can play and excel even at nickel but half our defensive rotations will be out the window as we probably don't want MC rotating from or into deep half/middle field.
Our ability to disguise coverages really took a hit for sure.

Yes I agree. McVay seemed to think Wallace did a good job subbing in. We play a ton of dime so it's next man up which should be Wallace.
