Sorry had to answer no, they are too good on the offensive & defensive lines and somehow none of their Assistant Coaches were poached.
I am sorry, you have lost your re-location privileges to the South-West. Enjoy upstate New York ~ TexasRam

They're a running team that feeds off play action and still have a great defense. It's a strong system. Plus they only lost Deforest B, but that does hurt.

Honestly think the division winner probably goes 11-5. So much competition in division this year.

I think we go 10-6.

I think the "SB hangover" is just the fact sooo many dominoes need to fall just right to ever get that far in the first place; the odds are stacked against that happening 2X in a row.

That, and letting Roger Saffold walk makes it one tall order....

I wholeheartedly disagree and will write out why later. Hate posting longer stuff from my phone.

But yeah, from a scheme and talent perspective, this team is better than last year and may be better overall (slightly worse offense, better defense)

If I gambled, I’d take the Rams at that rate all day.

I think people are severely underestimating how much Gurley’s presence and lack of performance hurt this offense.

Losing Gurley was addition by subtraction. Add in Cam Akers and...ooooweeeee.

Also, our Run D is gonna flip the script on a lot of games.

I'm not a big Jimmy G fan, but I think the 49ers have too good of a roster to fail. They kept their team pretty much intact. Shanahan has a good scheme with lots of good weapons and their Oline got stronger imo. The defense is nearly the same, except for Buckner. I don't see the drop off.

Up double-digits, with 5 minutes to go ....... 2nd biggest choke job in Super Bowl history. Those are types of losses that franchises never get over, they'll never get that close again. The dumb fucks will take that one to their grave

That’s a hard pass for me there is no way you can justify losing 14 touchdowns on a down year with a rookie is better. Gurley pass blocking saved Goff life numerous of times. It was just Gurley standing in the way of a free rusher on Goff and 29 times out of 30 he held.

I have to wait and see if any running back on this team can provide that type of security. No one is gonna be afraid of a hand off to Akers the play action isn’t going to be too effective in the early parts. McVay will have to make a commitment to the run game with unknown factors minus Brown running the ball.

McVay isn’t a running backs type of coach. He loves to pass and pass some more these guys have to block and that’s a tough order for a rookie to do especially playing in our division.

Yet, Akers has a collegiate record of being a good receiver and blocker in pass protection. Hendo, Kelly, and I think Brown did not have a history of being good blockers when they came into the NFL. Rookie or not, RB's have a tendency to perform faster/better than any other skill position. I expect Akers to have a great year, myself.

Let’s hope he is solid at pass pro but I really hope we don’t have to find out

Why? Without being able to block, there is no way for Akers to become a 3 down RB, which is what I want.

I don’t want our running back pass blocking for 80 percent of his snaps that means the offensive line isn’t doing their job. A 3 down back isn’t Supposed to stay in pass protection with no routes.

we saw too much of that with Gurley. Always staying in to pass protect. We need the line to do it’s job so we have full use of all our weapons

Well, of course. I was speaking of blitz pick up by the RB, not for him to become exclusively a blocker for a deficient Oline. I am hopeful that our Oline will be better this year.

Goddamn I hate the 9ers. Here's their early schedule...

CARDS
@Jets
@Giants
EAGLES
DOLPHINS
RAMS

What a fucking cupcake BS opening series of games for them man. It guarantees they'll be in the division lead, or a share of it, when they face us in week 6. At home.

Fuckers. And their 2nd game against us in our house comes after their bye week.
