It was also a preseason scrimmage where they couldn't tackle and really hit. IIRC Goff looked great in those too plus that's a few plays cut up and likely isn't going to show any bad plays.

Yup, totally agree it's just practice - that last throw you could see the defender close to him pulled up and didn't try to tackle him. However, the first play the blitzer ran full speed at him and he was able to escape. The 2nd play was most impressive since it was AD99 who Wolford was able to evade (even our own lineman are holding him!). Feeling pressure and escaping is something that should translate from practice to game day I would hope - this is one area that I'm sure everyone who has dumped on Goff wishes we had. I'm cautiously optimistic too - been let down too many times by this team - but we need a spark, and I'm hoping this is it.

i always tell my self that high light films are deceiving they only show the good plays but i just can't help but think this player is going to be the greatest ram ever. i'm not just talking about the wolfman i do it with every ram prospect. oh boy what a silly boy i am.

If this dude becomes the next KW (and trust me I highly doubt that'll happen, but I'd like to think he might just be able to give this offense a little spark), we must call him The Wolf.

That is all.

I dunno why, but I have a really good feeling about him and his play this Sunday.

And I'd rather have hope than sit and stew, because that don't help nobody...
I was just thinking the same thing.
The kid seems to be pretty confident. Maybe he gives our offense the spark it needs.
I am forever hopeful in the Rams. Like you said ,it beats the alternative.
Win or lose, I am excited to see the kid play.

Just saw this, and, wow - if this is a preview of what Wolford is capable of, against our top 5 defence, I can't wait until Sunday:

i don't know how this next game will turn out but i am thinking about woods talking about wolfman staying over after practice to get in extra work. he has a smile that makes you think of the cat that ate the canary and got away with it. also the film of the practice where he scrambles then makes a nice throw to ram receiver in the end zone. after the play donald comes over and appears to congratulate him. i could be wrong but he dose seem to have the respect of his team mates

The Cowherd kiss of death. Rams scoring 50.
No doubt was thinkin the same. Fuck him. Cards aren't the '85 Bears on defense not even close. This system is always tough to stop even with a subpar QB just look at the Skins with Cousins.

I just hope there's a run game to help him out. Losing Kupp sucks ass for him.

If he can throw too, that would help. Dink and dunk our way to the end zone. I'm not expecting much but hopeful that he is successful for his dream and the game. It's there for him. Take it. Go rams

The Wolfman? The Wolf? I would love for John to be The Howling Wolf, although I would prefer for him to do his howling with his play rather his anatomical speaker. :D

I wish I could be as positive and optimistic as some of you. I for one have very, very limited expectations for Wolford on Sunday. Just hoping the D can play their best game of the year, STs not screw up and the OL can open up some holes for whatever Rams RB is in. And that GB crushes the Bears.

Wolford is the next Jeff Garcia (the good version of him). I said it, so make it happen football gods.
