Should Rams trade Aaron Donald?

  • No

All I know is that I will never forgive Les Snead, Kevin Demoff, and even McVay if he was involved in trading a Ram's Hall of Famer. The hate for them would get insane if I ever saw Aaron Donald get a Super Bowl ring wearing another team's uniform.

Hell no. Donald is our best player and a potential future Hall-of-Famer if he continues his current trajectory. Again: hell no.
There are two ways to handle this ...

If this circus continues well into the season. Might as well, because his contributions are zilch to this team if he isnt on the field anyways...

Always good to see you here, @Ramsey. (y)

Aaron Donald? Don't care anymore whether he stays with us or gets traded. I'm a team guy first.

But I would caution those who want to trade him for a boatload of picks and/or players to remember how we squandered the RGIII picks, not to mention some of the "veterans" we signed thinking they would turn things around but either got injured or stunk it up.

I would consider 2 trades:

1. Donald and a 3rd for cousins (assuming he signs an extension only) Norman and a 1st rounder Donald's contract is huge leverage for the Rams

2. Tru Brown and Goff (who is young enough to site behind Big Ben one more year since Ben keeps talking retirement) for decastro and a 1st?

Can the cap numbers work with tinkering? am I asking to much? or are these trades fair? Do they make the Rams better instantly and in the future?

I think we be automatic for playoffs cousins with all those weapons Norman replaces tru and decastro instant upgrade

Maybe I'm dreaming? Or someone tinker with this if they like it I know pipe dream but you never know Rams don't seem to scared of making trades

TO BE CLEAR ID LIKE TO KEEP DONALD JUST THROWING SOMETHING OUT THERE TO SEE WHAT YOU GUYS THINK

I also do not care if we trade him or not. I'd rather not trade him for picks though. Also....if he's gone, with Easley out....well that's traumatic.

Doesn't seem the new slogan, We not Me, has affected AD much.

2 years out, He should be negotiating while playing. I can't fault the Rams one bit if they do not budge and walk away from the table.

Goff is going to put up very good numbers this season, no need for Cousins.

I agree with you but being such a long time Rams fan I get nervous he may not and I'm tired of waiting and cousins is not too old actually in his prime and he is established and with 3 first rounders you could do a lot

Just to clear it up since the thread is should the Rams trade Donald....I am on the no way side but just wanted to throw options out there to see what you guys thought and if they work that's all

that's exactly my point no one player wins anything in this game. a QB is the only one that can make that difference. you nor I have any idea if they can pick up another great player for less so your point is flawed logic also. he does no good sitting at home either.
He obviously isent going to be sitting home for a season.
Also, picking up a good player or two is different than keeping the best player in the NFL at his position.
If you have THAT guy you keep him noatter what (almost).

A deal like this might just take us to the next level and set us up financially to strengthen the weak spots on the roster. We want a Super Bowl champ. If Donald is in the way of that goal, then choices have to be made. I love him, but Rams first, bro.
