Pharoh Cooper having surgery/Designated to Return from IR

I had a feeling both of them would end up on the roster together.

Still no fumbles from Natson, (and yes I just knocked on wood).

I expect to see Cooper worked more into the pass game with Reynolds being the primary, obviously, in Kupps absence.

It would depend if their is an OL that adds value and is just not a body.
Natson has shown his value.

Natson only provides value as a PR. Pharoh and him are similarly good on PRs. Pharoh can also return kicks and play on offense. There's no reason to dedicate an active roster spot to such a limited player when Pharoh can contribute in multiple other facets. That would allow us to potentially activate another person who can contribute to this team.

Gotta disagree. He had some bad snaps, but he held up better than the majority of that OL despite being the new guy. He's an average OG, but average looks pretty damn good compared to the rest of that OL.

You said OL specifically.
I doubt the Rams have anyone stocked away ready to be a depth OL.
That said, I get what you're saying and don't disagree.
I was just saying Natson have proven to have some value on the field. A practice squad guy has not. Doesn't mean they couldn't however.

Well, we're currently only carrying 7 OLs, IIRC. That's a problem.

So Pharoe coming back is a good thing...I'd let him return kicks if he's ready...but keep Jojo with punts..

also Pharoe is familiar with the offense..and is actually a good slot WR.... i'd say he's behind Reynolds still but you can use Pharoe on some jet sweeps..actually he could do a lot what Tavon should have been able to do...

if he's ready to play offense Pharoe actually provides us with some value there...

took the opportunity to look back at his college highlights..

Pharoe was explosive on offense in college when used in a way that we honestly haven't really ever used him....Tavon was going to get the reps when he was around..then last year Cooper Kupp came on the scene..and Pharoe locked himself in as our return guy..

but honestly the skill set he came in with was a slot guy...and a running back type.... Which is what we'd need him to be now..

I agree.
I like having more as well.
But adding a Greg Robinson type doesn't really help.
Who knows what they think of the PS guys?
I would want the team to spend two more draft picks on OL this draft.

Yeah, I'll be interested to see if we use him on offense. Pharoh isn't the most athletic guy, but he was physical and fearless in college with outstanding hands. It will be interesting to see if he picks up any slot snaps in Kupp's absence.

Cooper has a golden opportunity with Kupp out for the rest of the season. He showed in TC and pre-season with the 2nd team in the slot and with the jet sweep.

Once again I don't have high hopes for Pharoh in this offense. Basically if you look at the end strength of the personnel packages, you're probably better off with him not on the field. In our basic 11 Personnel package Reynolds comes in and Woods slides over to the slot, leaving Pharoh's role as giving Woods a break here and there at best.

Pharoh right now is probably going to be active vs the Chiefs for that reason, well that and kickoff returns. If he's not activated it means they like how Hodge is coming along.

I’ve never seen ppl so nonchalant about a pro bowler coming back lol.
I wouldn’t mind seeing him and Cooks race down the field with Woods carving up the center of it.
I’m not very optimistic about Josh Reynolds. Sure he’s a great athlete. I’m just not sure he’s a good football player.
He’s had multiple chances to stand out, and never does.
Hopefully I get a heavy serving of crow.

I am very excited to have him back in the return game. At the very least, our kickoffs will have more success I think. I'm not too high on Pharoh as a WR threat. I think he's ok depth but I expect Reynolds to have more of a role. Pharoh isn't the fastest, most athletic guy but he is smart with setting up blocks and has that elusive ability that serves him well in the return game. Like I said earlier in this thread I think, I am looking to see Pharoh take Kupp's, and maybe even some reps from Cooks/Woods, in the behind the line/at the line of scrimmage game. ie- jetsweeps, screens, end arounds, etc. Anything that gets Pharoh the ball in space with blockers. With Reynolds taking the down the field action that we'll miss from Kupp.

Cooper is not a very good wr. Great return man though. Reynolds has shown more than him as a wr.
