Looks like DeMarcus is questionable. Man have our WR's been depleted. Guess that means Tyler Johnson gets another chance, unfortunately.
I seen Sean running routes next to players in practice...
Maybe he can suit up, as a player-coach....

I dunno why, but I think we win this one.

That’s the post. That’s it.

I have to think Williams being up this week will increase our odds. Maybe he helps settle this secondary down.

I read a ton of posts on here from people who were ok with going into the bye at 2-3. They EXPECTED it. The Rams are in position to do just that. Because most saw the two wins coming against the bears and zona, and those ended up being losses, there’s a lot of doom and gloom on here.

Yeah, the Rams are playing some crappy football and seem to be deficient at many spots, but beating the packers rights the ship going into the bye.

Tall order, not impossible.

Nobody in the NFC is looking all that dominant either. Feels like the whole conference is 2-2.
It pains me to say but the Rams right now are only better than NYG and CAR in the NFC. I expect improvements and changes but right now that’s my feel.

The NFL is one week at a time league. Sucks we have a 1-3 hole, but when Seattle loses to Detroit we’re only 2 games out in the division.

Lots of the season left to turn our fortune.
Homerific! But I'm qith ya, pass the Kool Aid!

Really hoping we can scratch and bite our way to a win this week. With the bye coming up and a softer opponent right after that (Raiders) with perhaps Kupp coming back, I'll feel so much better going forward. Honestly, having at least 1 go to playmaker will improve our play dramatically. I mean I personally think Atwell is a playmaker, but, we don't use him like we do Kupp or Puka. Keeping this D off the field as much as possible should be a goal. At least until Verse learns how to tackle :)

The more I think about it the less downtrodden I am about the season so far.

A few more red zone conversions and a few more sacks getting home and we beat Detroit and kill Chicago, thus ending at 3-1. This, despite the defense hovering near the bottom in most categories and Kupp/Nacua being out.

I think they make a statement against Green Bay & head into the bye to heal up and get a few things sorted out on defense.

Agreed, we are a better team than our record indicates.

I can’t read the Rams yet. I could see us winning this game. I could see us losing. So not sure, maybe things are setup to steal one here.

Go Rams!

First thing out their mouths should be the Rams secondary play or lack thereof. But still not a bad listen:

View: https://youtu.be/Yx_wqEowuLY

I thought most of it was nonsense, myself.

Nice to have the DL recognized instead of ignored, but what McStafford have cobbled together offensively is remarkable & getting better. I hate the RZ thing as much as any fan, but CHI was touted as a top defense & LAR matriculated the hell out of that mofo all day. Kyren 4.9/carry & 6th round rookies contributing at center & WR. Atwell staying productive despite extra attention. None of it happens without McStafford, but they're getting a nice response from the depth now that the OL is stable enough to allow a coherent plan to be used, not just sandlot madness.

GB allows a lot of RZ chances (26th) & isn't good at stopping them (23rd), either. Good "get right" situation for McStafford who are nothing if not savagely competitive & prideful. Of course, The Rams defense is tied with GB in both stats, so the fudgepackers could claim the same "get right" chance for their offense which has been also been good at getting to the RZ but not scoring TDs there, either (7th/23rd).

Appreciate the nod to the IDL & agree, of course, but Carmen (?) is clearly not a Verse fan if she can toss off citing his 17 pressures as if it wasn't insane for a rookie.

As to their "plus factor" choices: the GB DL > LAR's OL; citing cumulative season stats for the Rams OL is not placing enough emphasis on recent performance & personnel. Not claiming they are dominant, but the shizzle show of AZ is distorting this guy's assessment of where they are now.

Stafford needs to be on his game , but he's a huge step up in QB caliber from GB's prior opponents, just like he was vs CHI where he didn't even play that cleanly, imo, so not buying that plus factor of Mckinney, either. It will only be an issue if Stafford loses patience, imo. That disguised blitz that resulted in Darnold getting strip-sacked was well done, but poor ID on Sam's part. He also botched a number of make-able throws despite standing tall. Hopefully Stafford's expressed growing trust in J. Whit will help if GB's relatively anemic pass rush gets close. You just get a good feeling when that guy has the ball in his hands, no ?

I just watched GB vs MINN. Wasn't nearly as close as that score indicates. The absurd muffed punt that turned into GB's first TD. The utterly bogus INT at the goal line by McKinney that killed a MINN drive. Minn may have let up a little early, but GB is a good offensive team & deep in skill players. Very good game to get Darious back to prevent heroics from guys like Wicks when they have 4+ routes being run.

Love looked like that knee was still a significant issue; lots of bouncing in the pocket to keep from twisting the knee & jump throws with no follow-through. He looked to be sailing balls with any pressure in his face at all. The first INT was just dumb, though; wide open guy just short of the sticks ignored & tried to drive into a pair of defenders.

Another very winnable game, imo.

How are the Packers only favored by 3?? They are better than us at every single position maybe except for Kicker and QB

Yeah I don't think she offers any real insight on any of their vids. What matters with Verse is the power he is demonstrating at the point. He has something you rarely see in rookie edges in that regard and it bodes well for his ceiling. I think he has a higher ceiling than I did during the draft because I didn't expect his power to play as well as it has.

From there the pressures that are not turning into sacks has a lot to do with the discipline of the Rams front overall. When you crush the pocket with discipline as a group you buy a moment where the QB has to look for where to escape and think about it. We haven't done that very much, so that has hurt not only him but the others as well. And also we have faced three very difficult QBs to chase if you don't get some containment going. Murray, Purdy, Williams are three very difficult QBs to chase if you aren't making them run backwards and around your ends to get outside.

Keep saying the upside of this group is crazy, in terms of our 4 man rush which is the key for the pass. But it brings home just how terrible our secondary has been as well. So I'm not too down on the defense as a whole, in spite of the shitty stats thus far. They are close to being a very difficult team to pass against, they just have to get their secondary sorted. There is talent in that group to do that.

Someone else pointed out it depends on what rams team shows up. I think experts can see this which is why GB is favored by only 3 points.

Now let's keep in mind GB has a lot of people injured too. And I think the injury report shows most of them will not play this weekend.
The key to this game is keeping reed and the running game in check. If the rams can do that they have a chance. If they can't then it might mean going into the bye 1-4. Ouch
