That was so "Brett Farve" of him, right? I guess the Packers do have their replacement QB: The one that throws interceptions at the most critical time.

Either the run or throwing out of bounds would have been better than what he did. That was just an absolute bonehead play, totally forced throw that didn't need to be made. I'd get it if it was 4th down, but it was 1st.

He's gonna think about that all off-season and if he's ever gonna be somebody, he's gonna have to exorcise whatever demons led to that mistake.
Yea that throw is gonna be in everyone's memory for awhile. It's was just god awful.

At least Michael Strahan was keeping it real giving credit to everyone else and saying that Purdy didn't play well.

He didn't even play that good tbh. But when the rubber needed to meet the rd, he showed up. I'll give him that.
Purdy has so much around him. And a great defense to keep him in games. Guy is shit, we just need a good team to put them down and take their run game away.

Oh well. Maybe the Lions can do that. I know what will really happen is Goff will Goff but maybe Purdy will Purdy and steal that loss. :laugh3:

I will say this though - the 49ers are definitely beatable. GB lost that game as much as SF won it. They didn't get much pressure on Love and they didn't stop the run very well.

I know a lot of people on this board are rooting for TB tomorrow, but not me, because Detroit is a team that can absolutely run the ball and has a QB that, if you keep the pocket clean, can slice you up.

The lions just aren't good enough to match them imo. I do know in that situation I believe in Goff way more than I do love.

If SF's defense plays like it did tonight, Detroit certainly is good enough to match them. They weren't that great against the run and got little pressure. And on D, Detroit can stop the run well. It will be up to their back end if they end up being the eventual opponent.

Thought this could have been a block in the back on McCaffrey's first TD, right after the missed delay of game.

You have a point there. They really didn't pressure Love all that much and Goff with no pressure is damn near perfect. Let's see if the lions can beat tampa 1st though.

Boy that game would sting even more than the Rams Detroit to it's fanbase. GB had to make nearly every untimely mistake to lose. Did they even punt? maybe once if I remember. I would be gutted as a fan
