I only agree with the win and we're back on trackI remember back in 2018, that Chicago game was the turning point. Then we lost to Philly the next week and it became, "that Detroit game showed teams how to beat the Rams". But we were lucky enough to have Arizona and SF the last two weeks of the regular season, then an average Dallas team in the first round, visually challenged officials in the CCG and then finally, Belichick and Brady in the SB. We were never as good as our record!!!! Now we're 3-1, second in the division (for now) with a huge game in Seattle Thursday. I'll tell you, a loss and we're done!!! A win and we're back on track!!
Supposedly if the Rams lost to the Cardinals during the McVay era in the forest, did it happen? *flexesRams didn't look bad to me cuz I ain't seen 'em yet...! --Loyal
It was also around the time we basically lost Gurley. I think it might have been ok if we just lost Kupp, but not both.I remember back in 2018, that Chicago game was the turning point.
But again, I can't tell if it's scheme or ineptitude.I think two things are true...
The game was SOMEWHAT of an aberration...also I think the defense is a lot shittier than we expected it to be...Teams have been moving the ball against us with relative ease and we've been suspectible to big plays...the very thing our D is supposed to stop...
I haven't seen much, but been listening to the games and it does, it seems like it's straight prevent every dam play. But again, I can't tell if it's scheme or ineptitude.
What defense is Morris calling?
It almost looks like they play prevent defense all the time and never press.
Defense is definitely not my area of expertise so I'm seriously asking for answers here.
I hope we win Thursday. If we don't, I'm still not in panic mode. (Unless we are completely blown out)....If we bounce back and beat the Seahawks in their house, I will have no problem deeming last Sunday a momentary lapse or an aberration.
If we continue to slide...
There is some science behind it, funny enough, there's been a number of studies regarding it, especially among athletes since they tend to be significantly more superstitious than the average person. It's about getting in a comfortable frame of mind.
He's calling the same scheme. Rams are still drawing from Staley's playbook. Maybe some keys are different or simplified by Morris and there's gonna be a completely different approach in how the scheme is used in each situation but he's pulling from the same base group of plays. But again, I can't tell if it's scheme or ineptitude.

Some got their shot of whiskey and a KFC chicken sacrifice to Jobu, and others have the naked consumption of cheetos and miller high life, tradition. Don't judge... ~ Merlin
Football is a game of emotion. We came off an emotional win in Prime Time and have a big game against the Seahawks on Thursday. We were probably looking ahead to that game. We had an emotional let down.
If we don't play well on Thursday I might begin to be concerned. Cardinals will probably lose next week at home vs. 49ers.
Another frustrating thing about the Arizona performance by our Defense is that it's not the first time most our defense has played them, and they still couldn't stop them!
