The NFL couldn't give two shits about Johnny partying. They cared that he sucked at playing QB, had a substance abuse problem that detracted from his performance, and poor work habits. If Johnny could play QB well while being a party animal, he'd still be in the league and getting paid. Just ask Big Ben.

I worked in a big business who had one of its leaders get busted for cheating on his wife with a hooker. Guess what happened? Nothing. He made the business enough money that they didn't care. What you do in your personal life is your business, as long as it's legal (and if you make enough money for the company, they'll overlook some illegal stuff too).
