“Can never get too many jersey countdown threads!”

One tidbit on Lawrence McCutcheon. One Monday football game, they were calling him "Larry" McCutcheon and ABC was contacted by McCutcheon's mother and informed that he had a brother named Larry and to stop calling him Larry. Don Meredith said "Isn't Larry short for Lawrence?" Then Meredith in the fine southern draw, "Oh well." Just hilarious.

Yeah I think I remember. Wasn’t it Cosell the one calling him Larry?

As to the one month until training camp, Can’t wait! I remember heading out to Irvine in ‘17 and being so excited about that rookie Cooper Kupp.

It was Cosell and he did that quite often, I remember him calling James Harris, not only Jimmy Harris, but also Jamie Harris, which I think was just a mistake. Cosell also liked to include the middle name, which I have kind of adopted I still remember Cosell uttering: "Joe Willie Namath." and "Francis Asbury Tarkenton."

William Cullen Bryant would have worked splendidly.
