Some news on the glorious delusional 9ers............

.......DE Dee Ford’s knee tendinitis more concerning than most know? They are expecting another three-week shutdown for platelet-rich plasma therapy. Saying rest could help.

.........Next 6-8 weeks will be big for the 49ers offensive line. Joe Staley 13th-year left tackle might be catastrophic if Jimmy Garoppolo gets hurt on a blindside hit. But let’s not go so dark. Rookie Justin Skule gets first crack at the replacing the irreplaceable Staley. The 49ers will, um, school up Skule, and their run game should remain strong with the scheme. Shanahan said he’s prepared to go with rookie Justin Skule for now

Shanahan said “We kept Skule because we thought he was the best available. So that doesn’t change now. I think that Skule is going to get a lot better throughout his career but we kept him on this team because he can help us win now.” Shanahan said he didn’t want to move right tackle Mike McGlinchey, so for now, they’re hoping Skule can hold down the position for six-to-eight weeks until Staley might return.

9ers signed OT Will Holden to the practice squad. Holden (6-7, 312) was originally drafted by the Arizona Cardinals in the fifth round (157th overall) of the 2017 NFL Draft. He appeared in 11 games (seven starts) for Arizona prior to being waived by the team on July 20, 2019. Holden was claimed off waivers by the Miami Dolphins on July 21 and later waived on August 27. He then signed with the Seattle Seahawks on August 29 and was waived on August 31. 26-year-old native of Green Cove Springs, FL, Holden attended Vanderbilt University (2012-16) where he appeared in 48 games (35 starts). Holden will wear No. 62. Holden played 147 snaps in 2018 for the Cardinals, with a PFF grade of 45.7.

.........The good news about this injury happening now is that the 49ers’ schedule through those weeks are not extremely difficult.
The 9ers play the Seahawks & Rams this next month?????

I am watching the Niners/ Bengals right now. The Bengals defense played good in week one but they look like crap in this game. The Niners first two TDS were blown coverages.

Garapolo threw a bad into in the first Quarter. The Bengals has missed assignments and their offense was hit and miss.

I’m not buying that S.F. Is all that good. Their DLine and Lbers aren’t bad but the DBs are lacking.

I think the Packers are being rated too high.
If Cousins has even a decent game, they beat the Packers.
Cousins was way off Sunday.
I mean WAY off.
Rodgers had 3 good drives on the Vikings after that, 67 yards for 3/4 of the game. Same thing in Chicago. Good 1st quarter but the second half sucked. He has no one by Adams to throw to. Cover Adams, and you beat them. Vikings just gave up too much too fast. Plus some stupid ass penalties

Rams, Eagles, Cowboys, Seahawks

That feels like a solid top 4, for now.

The rest is still shaping up, and the top tier isn’t set either... that’s just the early read. Injuries will shape things later.

The other thing about early season football... it’s tough to gauge the matchups. So knowing who is strong, or just off to a good start because of a favourable schedule matchup-wise. Need a little more time to read some things.

Defense's usually have an easier time the first 4 games or so. Been that way for some time now.

The Cowboys have their Oline back and healthy and are dominant with 3 pro bowlers and 2 other solid players. They also have Gallup (injured for a few games) really improved and Randal Cobb along with Witten as more options.

Cowboys biggest jump though is Kellen Moore as OC who is incorporating some mcvay offense.

Dak in this system looks real good.

The niners look dangerous and could win 10 games. They are still a step behind the rams talent wise though.
Wasn’t Linehahn their OC? Getting rid of him has got to be addition by subtraction.

49ers look good, wouldn’t be surprised if the NFL flexes week 6 on NBC
