49ers have huge talent on D. Jiimmy G is mediocre, but Shanny is top 5 play caller....think they can win 10 easily.....if not more.
Yeah Shanny is what scares me about the 9ers. That dude can produce offense with a cab driver at QB.

9ers have a pretty decent roster. The OT position looks like it will cause them probs, but their defense is good and their RB has been a beast breaking tackles and getting tough yards.

NFC West games are going to be tough this season. Physical run games by two of the teams, along with good defenses. And the Cards have a wide open attack with a good young QB who can make up for his inexperience a bit with explosive plays. We'll win this division I think of course, but it's not a given that we're gonna run the table again.

Good thing about Shanny, though, is I think he's too much a prick to do what McVay is going to do over time. Hope I'm right about that too lol because he really is a great offensive mind.

I really think you guys are underestimating the 49ers. It’s easy to make fun of them. But right now they’re a legit team.
They're better than last year but thats not saying much since they were swept by the Cardinals...and Jimmy is a turnover machine.

Which team would you swap out, ATL?

Packers, Bears, Vikings, Cowboys, Seahawks, and even the 9ers could all be problems this year.

The Falcons, Lions, and Eagles also could be tough outs.

It’s a long season and you don’t want to look too far ahead. I think most of us would be disappointed if we don’t make the playoffs. A first round bye is always really nice. Home field throughout may be the difference between making it back to the SB and not.

Philly is our top threat. Smart coach. Great talent.
Atlanta will win there division, but they will always shoot themselves in the foot.
Dallas has there oline in tack and if they stay healthy and the head coach stays out of the way, they could be trouble.
GB and Minnie will fight for the Division but minnie's QB is to much like Rivers and will break their fans hearts and GB D will let them down.
Bears are pretenders. They should be 0 and 2. The refs gifted the Denver's game. Bad roughing call and how do you get a time out when the reciever hit the ground with a second left. And Denver ain't shit.
1 philly
2 dallas
3 GB
4 atlanta
5 minnie
Seattle and whinners don't make the playoffs.
They both loose this weekend to back up QBs

Big hit them losing Staley. We dodged another bullet for now.

This is pretty much how I see the 9ers as well. They have some talent, and a good coach, but I still don’t think they are there yet. I could see 7-9 from them this year. That’s nice improvement from last year. As long as the Rams don’t look past the 49ers, the Rams should win both matchups. Thankfully, I don’t think McVay will let his players look past an opponent.

The Cowboys have their Oline back and healthy and are dominant with 3 pro bowlers and 2 other solid players. They also have Gallup (injured for a few games) really improved and Randal Cobb along with Witten as more options.

Cowboys biggest jump though is Kellen Moore as OC who is incorporating some mcvay offense.

Dak in this system looks real good.

The niners look dangerous and could win 10 games. They are still a step behind the rams talent wise though.

Cowboys. Lotta inconsistency across the board in the NFC. Cowboys are the most balanced and consistent team as it stands.

Its way too early but okay.
Adding up: QB, offense, defense, ST, coaching.

Rams, Packers, Cowboys look like the most complete teams right now to me.

Vikings, Falcons, Eagles, Seahawks are next tier.

SF has beaten a couple of bad teams but they did win em on the road. Saints still have a loaded roster minus Brees. Chicago lost to a pretty good Packers team so they can be tough.

The rest are still irrelevant IMO.

Agreed Jimmy G is turnover prone. I wouldn’t swap anyone but at least add them to the list. They play Pittsburgh next week without Roethlisberger at home. We could be looking at a three team 3-0 tie in the NFC west.

I hate the Cowboys, but they’ve always understood the value of OL and they prioritize it.

Also so nobody noticed Gruden running copies of our plays from Carolina, and the Cowboys new OC trying to be the Rams with all their play action? Offenses around the league do more jet sweep/motion, 11 personnel, all of it. Copycat league. Guess we saw that coming?

I think your closeness to things is getting in the way of your vision. Usually you have a healthy respect for defense but for whatever reason you're ignoring the fact that they've beaten their two division rivals with their defense in the first two weeks. In spite of their offense not really running anywhere near the level expected.

If that offense improves watch out. But either way between that defense and Rodgers... I don't think the other teams in the division are going to win more games than them. I think your Vikes are gonna be left scratching for a wildcard but it's still early so we'll see.
I said they had a pretty good defense. And yes, the beat their two division rivals. I'm simply pointing out the fact that their offense is suspect. Well, I'm not worried about my team. I watched them play. It will be interesting to see if the Rams can beat the Browns.

Yeah it is way too early. Key is which team has the roster to improve the most as well. Usually there's a team or two that do that and if they enter the playoffs on a roll can be deadly.

I'm not going to take any team lightly tbh. Rams are not that much better than the rest, but I do think they're the best team in the conference. We'll see.

Browns I expect to be a challenge in their blindside rush and containing their QB. Rams will get everything they have so hope they're focused in and ready.

Cowboys look real good to me. That roster is pretty good all around. The O line looks great again with Smith and Frederick healthy. Zeke is Zeke and Dak has taken that next step forward IMO. Kellen Moore looks like a natural calling plays. I always did like the way he controlled a game back at Boise State. Only weakness I see is the Corners and they aren't horrible. They just wouldn't match up well with the Rams with Kupp back.

Cowboys, Packers, Eagles, Hawks, Niners and Vikings are the threats at the moment. If Healthy, the Rams should beat them all though.

I’d probably say the Niners are the best team in the NFC West.... IDK

I think the Packers are being rated too high.
If Cousins has even a decent game, they beat the Packers.
Cousins was way off Sunday.
I mean WAY off.

Offenses are almost always behind defenses early in the season. With the exception golf a couple teams, that are already putting up a bunch of points, most others will improve over the next few weeks. New players need to adjust to new schemes and teammates. Coaches are adjusting how they call games in a response to what defensive strategies they see. Running backs are getting back into their groove. Players in general are getting used to the tempo. Some teams are ahead of others that won't be around later this season. We are seeing it with the Rams offense. Goff's timing and accuracy has improved and the line is telling more with every game.

So teams I think will improve on offense are Green Bay and Minnesota. I think San Francisco will fade. Seattle will too. Dallas already looks really good. Some teams will be held back by their offense, or QB. Chicago, Carolina, New Orleans, all fit that category.
