I voted yes. I think the Rams "#2" skill guys have enough talent to make the game interesting. True, the OL will likely struggle - but it's not like they will be non-existent!
I suspect the Rams will be playing from behind by mid-3rd quarter. So I figure Mannion will be racking up some yards in a comeback attempt or garbage-time yards.

No, Tavon usually picks up 6.7 yards a carry.
This season its only 4.5.
This season is when we need him most.

Unfortunately he's only picking up 3.3 yards a catch.

And no, I'm not going to break that down for dollars per touch.

Let's hope he kills it today though.

Mannion 250 yards and a touchdown....If they give him time, he will deliver the dime.

Tavon usually picks up one yard but I figure if we feature him today he can average two yards to carry.
His average as a running back has always been good. The question is his ability to run routes and get his hands on the ball. I'm not sure we will actually get that many looks at Tavon. As much as I have always held out hope for him, I think his time in horns is running out.

Count me as interested in the actress Janeane Garofalo.

Her bandwagon.
The junk in her trunk.
All of it.
OK - :sick::puke:

As to Mannion, it will depend on the game plan and the O-line. I get the feeling they will want him to play a safe game and as much as they say they want to get players some experience, I think they are going to be scheming to run as few plays as possible and get out of that game as quick as possible.

We'll see. I expect Mannion to play a decent game but maybe not in a game that shows much of what he can do.

In a game where our starting LT Andrew Whitworth & OC John Sully does not play & Darrell Williams & Austin Blythe starting :notsure: Mannion will be lucky to get the ball handed off.

A game where DT Aaron Donald ILB Alec Ogletree, ILB Mark Barron are out & we expect to stop the 9ers attack? Carlos Hyde might have over 150 yds rushing & over 50 yds in screen pass yardage when this Rams game ends.

This season is literally when we have needed him least.
Hence his being a RB now and not at all used in the passing game.

We agree that a big game would be nice.

If you're going for the NFL Championship, EVERYBODY needs to bring their A game.

Tavon has not been impressive for a superstar.

Tavon has not been impressive overall.
At all.

Nobody disagrees with that.

But let the real stats speak for themselves.
No need to say something that isn't even remotely close to being accurate..

Wrong.

This season was the season we needed him to be a WR for this offense, but the new coach McVay took a long look at him and immediately replaced him in the slot by drafting Kupp. Replaced him outside the hashes too by bringing in Woods and Watkins.

If Tavon was any good he would have managed to serve in one of those roles. But McVay knew he wasn't good enough. And after all those moves, only THEN did the team not need him any more. Because those were guys we could rely on. Unlike Tavon.
