OK, we heard a bunch about Sean Mannion in camp

Agree about that, especially now that the Whiners are in the SB this Sunday...They're really a much better team now than game 3...It would have been a very stiff battle, even with the regular starters, IMO...If the Rams pull this off, I will personally bury the 9ers all off season...I'm talking no mercy, be brutal, stomp into a mudhole type crap...I think Garoppolo might beat up on the secondary with a lot of subs..I'm one of the seemingly few that thinks he's the real deal...Oh, and if the poll doesn't close till Jan 1st, doesn't that kind of give an unfair advantage to the late voters ??? Oh, let Jimmy G. have his fun. It will only provide more motivation for Jared to raise his game even higher. Why not have NFC West QB show downs involving Jimmy G. versus our very own Cool Hand Luke? Throw in that Wascally Wussel Wilson and whoever will be the Cards' QB next season. (I'm not sure whether, at 38 years of age, Carson Palmer will be returning.)

Mannion is my guy he is better in the pocket then people give him credit for he’s very smart and knows the assignments of everyone on the field. I’m expecting a big day and a big win.

We are going to be facing a stacked 9 man box all game with 2nd tier talent. It will be important for Mannion to get the pass going early to hopefully open things later in the game. Going to be Interesting.

I highly doubt our back up oline will be good enough to protect Mannnion to allow 300 yrs.
Unless it's on a ton of 3 step drops.

I don't expect the offense to not skip a beat, but I think Mannion will play well. I don't think we'll have quite the quick strike offense though, and he may have a harder time with pressure, but we'll see. Either way, I'm just going to have fun watching.

I think it's unfair to expect too much of Mannion. All I want to see is that he acquits himself well. Look around and see how valuable back-up QBs are. Hope he hangs around for a few years. I would think he would want to given McVays success with QBs.

Unfortunately I don't have a lot of faith in the back-ups on the OL. I suspect he'll be spending a lot of the day running for his life.

I think our back ups have been coached up just like Brown and Hav. they won't be as good, but I think they will be good enough for Brown to get 150 total yards. So the play action will work and the Rams will score 28 to 31. So the real test will be how our back ups on the D hold up. We hold them below 28 we win.

We know the Niner's are working towards next year, so they will play starters. Mannion is good but I wouldn't expect much because we probably won't see much of Gurley and other starters that may have minor injuries.

No, Tavon usually picks up 6.7 yards a carry.
This season its only 4.5.

I think this could be a disaster and he could get killed behind a 2nd team O line. My guess is there will be a lot of running plays and punts.

I see it more depending on how our defense plays, which is also going to rest several players. If the 49ers are able to get out to a fast start and rack up points, I think it could be a long day.

Not to be underscored, there are a lot of players besides Mannion that are getting their audition, their chance to turn some heads!
