Shit boss, i'll do it for ya.What may have not dawned on some of you is that the mods also get ticked off after a loss and we have to greatly restrain ourselves not to ban people left and right.
AT LEAST WE HAVE AARON DONALD THAT'S THE ONLY GOOD THING I NOTICED IN THIS ENTIRE GAME
Cards already up on SF 14-0 just 3 minutes into the game. Our D can handle them but we're gonna need an offense.
To the point of your thread, our defense was very very strong today vs the #1 offense in the NFL.
Defense played well after struggling in the first quarter. Austin and Britt played well. Kendricks can get separation.(check the vent thread for the other half of the formula) Our OL can actually pass block well.(except when they fail to recognize the blitz) Foles is effective when he's not throwing deep.
Anti-vent: we may be better than SF?
Pretty sure the Player's Union would urge the NFL to levy massive fines for such unheard of cruel and unusual discipline.Looks like some sprints are in order tomorrow.
While I agree there was more good than just Donald, fans' expectations are not unrealistic. It's the fourth year after having a ton of high picks and spending lots of FA money. We should have an offense that can score much more at this point.Uh, 5 sacks? Britt had over 100 yards? Gurley didn't get hurt? Their was a lot of good in this game. I think unrealistic expectations are driving the fans nuts.
A tight end who could catch the ball would be monumental. Tavon continues to impress. The OL continues to gain experience, and I saw them battling some very tough, 8 and 9 man fronts. I wouldn't put this on them. Britt was very good, up until the last, very important play. Givens had a great run, on the reverse. Foles played better. In a nut shell.
Might be time to shake things up personnel-wise, but I seriously doubt that happens.
Britt really impressed me. I've been hard on the guy and while I still am not sure he's long term starter quality player for a playoff-level team he is a very good possession WR and I'll take that with this bunch.
Austin looked really good. And that end around by Givens was a thing of beauty.
OL had some good run blocks on early run downs. Not enough but some and that's a change.
Lastly I think the play design had some bright spots too believe it or not. Lots of creative countering and movement but just too many execution problems.

To keep with the anti-vent theme, I'll say I was pleased with Donald, Britt, Mason, and Ogletree specifically. I thought the O-line was better at pass blocking this week. I thought the D righted the ship about half way through, too.
