Foles needs Brian Quick would somebody tell Fisher that please?
In a nut shell.

Might be time to shake things up personnel-wise, but I seriously doubt that happens.

Britt and Tavon played well, but our two best receivers (Quick & Sted) are MIA. I don't get it. Somebody please explain..

My positive: for a brief moment I saw the Rams future offense. Gurley ran twice; the safeties moved up and Tavon made two positive plays. With Gurley playing regularly (and hopefully Quick too) we will get better on offense

Well, it made me forget about last week's debaucle. Tavon actually returned some punts, and, some of the cheerleaders are pretty hot.

Really, though, I've read alot of good things from upbeat people in this thread. The problem is, I dont have access to those kinds of drugs, and, even with those good things the rams lost a game when the defense only gave up 12 pts. Since the beginning of 2014, that's only happened once for a home team....and, that would be when the cards beat the rams 12 to 6.

The rams need to be make these good things happen more consistently--hell, id settle for 2 consecutive weeks at this point---before I can feel good about them as a whole.

Adding insult to injury, we've just handed a win to Arizona and Seattle when they play the benless steelers. Why is it that (could be taken as a positive) when we knock starting qbs out of a game, we don't capitalize.

This beats the hell out of the "alternative" (tho I do have my own label regarding it) thread going, I just hope most of those guys are just drunk or something.

5 sacks was nice, the defense played well, especially after Hekker short armed that wide open fake punt pass to Bailey.

Still a young team... especially up front on offense, the negativity on other threads here and elsewhere over Gurley's 7 touch performance today is nothing short of mind boggling.

On to Arizona, they're ripe right about now the way I see it.

I'm glad I haven't notices Roger saffold on the field... when I say on the field I mean laying on the tuff, hurt.

Every year after the bye our coaching staff dramatically changes some type of scheme that seems to help the team. I envision them going back to a 100% power blocking scheme. It's something to potentially get excited about but let's just hope they do this next week and not wait until after the bye.

Now I'm on my way to thee vent thread

When Todd Gurley gets 25-30 carries we will take off.

Surprisingly, our O-line does a better job at pass protection than run blocking. Especially when these guys are drafted to maul D-linemen. I'm hoping we scrap the zone blocking next week, Gurley will probably benefit more from power blocking.

Yeah, we are all surprised at the run blocking. They need to look at film and figure out what works and what doesn't. Seems like they run the same play a lot.
Although it could be just plain lack of execution.

I agree with all of the positives herein.

Also, I don't know what the numbers would show...but it sure felt like we didn't have many chances/possessions. I felt like our offense had all of 2 or 3 possessions the entire first half. Probably had a little more the second half...but it just feels like we operate slowly on offense. I'm sure that changes from game to game. And I know we gotta rest the D and all that. Our offense needs more work in general...and I know the time of possession hasn't been in our favor thus far.

But a little up-tempo, a little urgency, a little no huddle, a little intensity on offense just might put defenses on their heels some.

I definitely like getting Harkey involved more as the "hammer." Kind of like Lorenzo Neil back in Fisher's Titans days. I can't explain Cook. That size, speed and fluid movement and getting nothing out of him right now.

Cook needs to become consistent or take his fat contract and move on BUT this was his only "bad" game this season.

I was hammering Kendricks in TC for the drops and then they dried up. Seems they are back.

I like Harkey too as a blocker and occasional receiver. I couldn't care less if they turned to not passing to the TEs much at all. It's not needed. Get TA and Bailey the damn ball for god's sake.

For a while I thought our game was gonna end up like theirs is now. But the defense didn't lay down. As far as the 49ers, its gotta be demoralizing losing that big in consecutive games. And I love it.

A perfect example of how reading a comment can come off to the reader as the opposite of the intent. My bad.

Gotta understand too this was to be expected with 2 rookies. It isn't a matter of how talented the individual pieces are, it's how they perform together as a unit. I remember the 2013 Rams O-line clicked when they faced the Colts and that was through midseason. I'm hoping they click together sooner rather than later.

I am disappointed in the loss, but I actually enjoyed the game. Entertaining until the end.

A win next week and we're 2-2, having beat Seattle and AZ... And a good battle with Pittsburgh... we're feeling a little better about the team.

I was hoping for a game 1 style comeback, best game ever, and even overtime. It was far better than the Washington game and a sign of better things to come when it all comes together.

Did you hold your breath when Gurley was on the field? I did. Fear AND anticipation. His time starts next week I hope.

Quinn on pace for 16 sacks this year. That's good news. Donald's on pace for like 20 or something ridiculous.

By the end of this week, we'll probably have the 3rd fewest plays from scrimmage after Miami and Buffalo. And probably the fewest yards per game.

We have got to fix this.

This is exactly why I only post in the vent thread! I believe we are better than our last two opponents. No excuse. Anti vent we will win next week because that team is actually better than us

If you think the Steelers in their condition are a supposed to lose against the Rams in their condition...I would recommend you reconsider. We just held the most prolific offense in the NFL to 12 points and stayed in this game until the very end on one suspect ref reversal. Despite everything, the Rams battled. Mistakes. Inexperience. Newness.

Hell, if Mr Reliable Hekker makes that pass two feet higher or one second slower, this is a whole different game.

Steelers field what is barely arguable, the most effective QB, the best WR, and the best RB in the NFL. On top of that they have a very good o line and a very good D line.

FIVE sacks and an INT that should have been 2 INTs. A 6 point loss. That's badass. It's badass when you consider the reality of where the Rams are in this season and what they have to come.

Washington, I get the angst. This one? I honestly thought it was blowout potential for the Steelers.

Next week is an all in game.

He is. Even handed, funny, and fair with a hammer.

Not to take away, but all the Mods here and CGI are top shelf. Even X when I'm not playing him in FF. :sneaky:
