Don't need a smart tv, just a computer/laptop with and HDMI out port. Plug that into a spare HDMI in port on the tv, switch to that source with your tv remote and you are in business! THat's the way I did it prior to Sunday Ticket.I don't have a SMART TV, which is the problem, dang it.
I'm vastly too lazy to read through this whole thread, but here's an article from BSPNTen teams get five prime-time games, including the 49ers

That’s what I was thinking about doing. Head to Best Buy and get a lap top for cheap and a cable. Load my anti virus and stuff on ther and it’s much cheaper than the ticket and better than watching on the monitor.Don't need a smart tv, just a computer/laptop with and HDMI out port. Sure. I see your point. It is a good point to make. But...weren’t we better on the road last year? I could make the case that playing at home is not necessarily an advantage in regards to winning games in LA. Plus, with so many new players on the team, I’m not sure what to expect this year.Yes but many teams have to play some combination of home/road, which makes it more difficult. This is awesome because we're home/home, AND the Vikings have to travel all the way to LA on a short week.
Don't need a smart TV. Only one with a either a HDMI port or port for a monitor. If you have a flat panel that is less than 6 years old it should have an HDMI port.I don't have a SMART TV, which is the problem, dang it.
ESPN also predicted 287 wins by all teams this year. Only problem is the max number of wins possible is 256. Someone is off.ESPN reviewed the schedule, predicted losses to the Packers, Saints, Bears & 49ers. 12-4.
It is a LCD 40 inch TV, but it is older than 6 years. We were unique in that we bought 4 TV's when we shouldn't have for a house that is not fully reconstructed. I have 3 TV;s that have never been used and all of them are more than 6 years old.Don't need a smart TV. Only one with a either a HDMI port or port for a monitor. Should still have at least one HDMI port. My oldest flat panel is from 2009 and has 3.It is a LCD 40 inch TV, but it is older than 6 years. Last year we lost to the Vikings on the road. So, I'll take this scenario any day. Big revenge game here on the schedule, and early in the season. Go Rams!Sure. I see your point. Love that schedule.
Rams have quietly become the face of the NFL, whether you like it or not.
