You guys that are saying we can't afford him, wouldn't we only have to pay his last rookie year salary? Which I think is around 8 million.

I honestly hope this doesn't happen. OBJ doesn't just want to be the TOP paid WR, but one of the top paid players in the game, amongst the QB contracts. To me, the oft injuried-diva OBJ is not worth that. Add in the extensions we need to dole out to Donald, Gurley, Goff, Joyner and we simply have no cap space for OBJ.

What about the tremendous value of the lost 1st round pick, fellas?

I, for one, am counting on a terrific player(s) falling to us there. Hopefully, an Edge LB that will be a stud in Wade’s D for years.

Such a player would be far better value than a headcase primadona WR in McVay’s spread-it-around O costing around $18 million.

Plus, I think a quality player at ILB, NT, C, OG, RB, WR, or CB will be sitting there at our pick in the 3rd. Any one of which are needed and could be productive for years.

Lastly, Mara has had enough of OBJ’s crap, already. That should be sounding alarms in the ears of all Ram execs and their fans.

Waaaaay too much potential downside in this proposed trade to suit me.

Initial reaction is NO - he is the biggest diva in the league. 2nd reaction is if Suh falls thru and Rams want to spend $8M for a one year deal - maybe in right team/right coach could be turned into more of a team player.

They figure out a way to pay him and Donald and have money in play for Gurley and Goff? Heck yeah I'd take this guy.
He signs a contract extension I'd give him this year's 1st in a heartbeat

can you imagine the how good the rams will be on Madden next year if this happens! I skipped the last couple of years but if they somehow sign Suh and trade for Beckham I'll definitely be getting a copy this year. haha

With that contract extension who are you comfortable giving up? We can’t afford extending Donald, Suh and extending Beckham this year. All of those also put Gurley and Goff in danger. We’re also losing at least our first round pick so how will we address the OLB or ILB position? Sure it’s nice playing Madden with our roster but trading for him and meeting his contract demands, which are about what we’re going to have to pay Donald, will have consequebces to one or more players already on the roster. So who are you comfortable losing for him?
