Here's my logic:

1. With there no longer being a 3rd QB exemption rule in the roster rules, teams are tending to go in with two QBs on the main roster and one on the practice squad.

2. To me, it seems pretty obvious that one of those QBs is going to be Bradford. The Cutler thing IS conceivably possible, but seems unlikely. There's a reason Chicago wants to be rid of the guy, and he just doesn't have "face of the franchise" qualities.

3. Definitely with Bradford and perhaps even with Cutler, it'd be a very good idea to bring in either a highly drafted QB or promising traded QB (not really seeing anything amongst the FAs worth even considering).

4. Neither Hill or Davis is PS eligible (if for no other reason on the latter, Davis was on the active roster all 16 games this year).

So neither comes back because there just isn't room.

I think Hill will be back, unless they get a better option in FA, and also think we draft one in the early rounds.

Clearly the top priority. Unfortunately for Hill, the San Diego int will follow him to the grave. I'm thinking 1986 Bill Buckner world series error type stigma. Unfortunate, but its in the books.

So you think they'll carry 3 QBs on the 53 man roster?

I think it's very possible just based on these tow things.

First, Bradford could get hurt again, so you need a new starter and a backup.

Second, thee is a very, very good chance Bradford won't be cleared to practice/play when the season opens, he could miss a few games or even half the season. So then you have to have a QB, and a backup.

Who that ends up being remains to be seen, but thee is a very good chance the Rams keep 3 guys.

Either that or because of the little piece of me that died at that moment, its alot more dramatic to me than anyone else lol

Well obviously they'd keep 3 temporarily if Bradford isn't ready yet.

Beyond that though, keeping that 3rd QB means giving up a roster spot elsewhere. It might not be worth it just to ensure a new backup is ready to go in Bradford goes down.

Fisher: We're going to have a change in overall scheme.

I agree. They will seek a player that is better than Hill or has upside potential. My believe is their selection would be a young player who may have washed out with the team that drafted him (I.e., Ponder, Locker) and if they don't get one of the top 4 QBs in the draft they will only carry two on the active roster.

Rams in 2015 need to reconsider carrying more than two QB's on the 53 player roster & maybe even a couple on the Practice Squad so this QB issue is put down also to save their all the Rams coaches jobs @ the end of the 2015 season if this QB situation continues. Enough is enough! Fix the Problem @ QB & the OL.

Not sure if there are many options @ QB other than these two 2014 Ram QB's. Truth is I don't want to see either of them on the Rams roster in 2015. Things with this future OL does not look good trending the wrong way & neither can win playing behind our OL. I'd go with Sam Bradford as the primary but I sure will be looking for a couple of youthful strong healthy, very mobile QB's in this draft in day two & three.

Sam Bradford injuries continue to grow:
2009- 1st game suffered a 3rd degree AC joint sprain
2009- Little under two months returned to re-injured his right shoulder
2009- Undergos season-ending shoulder surgery
2011- Lower leg injury suffered & struggles for most of the yr. only finished 9 games 2-14 record.
2013- ACL tear to left knee only finished 6 games. Surgery ACL reconstruction
2014- Pre season re-tearing ACL & surgery ACL reconstruction

I would disagree about him being held out at all...The injury was so early that I think there is a very good chance he'll be ready for opening day...My opinion would be predicated on no set back in his rehab...Having said all that, I'm certainly not a Dr., trainer or even a guy who knows squat about ACLs...

1. Bradford
2. Glennon, Hoyer, McCoy, etc
3. Draft pick

That's what I'm expecting too. Draft pick is gonna happen, and they know Bradford can't be counted on so Rams are gonna have 3 QBs on the roster.

Hill is fine with a better OLine. Look at his stats when protected and he is very good.

Maybe they hit on a later rook QB but I fully expect Bradford, trade for a vet to push him, and Hill. That's my story and I'm sticking to it

I think Austin Davis is going to be a Ram. I think he has the instincts and the ability. His youth showed with critical TO's in games but I see some up side there.

I think he stays!

If Bradford starts, 3.
Bradford,
1b
Draft pick or Davis.

I don't see Hill as the 2 next year. I definitely don't see him as a 3 anywhere.

This^ and I sure hope it's Glennon because I could not stomach Colt McCoy who is only more durable than Bradford and is the little engine that can't!
