Figured I'd start a new injury thread. I don't think this has been created for 2025 yet.

Anyway, I can't believe this hadn't happened yet. I knew his knee injury was extremely severe but still would have thought this had happened already. Tough break for the kid.

In the article, it states he had surgery in December on his LCL and MCL ligaments.

Now he is having surgery on an ACL ligament.

Man that is rough.

Career ending was discussed when it happened. If a small guy like that can't make crisp quick cuts like he used to, not sure he has a route to being effective unfortunately.

I'll not soon forget that the tough bastard caught and held on to the ball for a TD while his leg was being near amputated. Prayers for him.

That's why I never criticize players for wanting as much money as they can get. In the NFL, a potential career-ending injury is only a play away. Dell will likely never be the same, and he was a second-round player in his second year. That's likely the only big contract he'll ever get.

QB in the 1st alive and well and reading they like both Dart and Milroe a lot. How funny would it be if they take one of them over Sanders :D
Nah. They need to select Sanders on their way to becoming the Cleveland Browns of the South.

Realizing you need surgery in fucking April is the kind of shit that will piss a team off.

He may have not been able until his other surgeries healed. I remember when my son got operations for his severe juvenile bunions, he had to wait until the first operation healed before they would do the other foot.

Could have nothing to do with it but maybe?

In LA we call that Shaqing. Carr really Shaqqed the Saints with his late offseason need for surgery.

Didn't Mike Thomas do the same thing to them a few years ago? Except he left it much later and closer to the season beginning. Clown.

Carr’s an EMOtional fella. I hear his tears don’t fall, they crash around him.

I really lost a lot of respect for Shaq when he did that. I remember he said the offseason was his and he wasn't going to waste it on rehab. I was firmly in the Kobe camp after that.

I was always in the Kobe camp because of the way he approached the game. I remember Magic really singing his praises in an interview where he tactfully was throwing Shaq under the bus at the same time. Shaq was a funny guy that many people liked but I kinda despised him for how he took everything for granted. That team could have won more titles if Shaq would have put in the work. He fired his free throw coach after he started to see results, he was constantly out of playing shape to start the season, and he simply relied on his size and the fact they had Kobe. Love him or hate him, Kobe was always about winning and respect for the game.
