It just cracks me up when watching the underwear olympics that even the commentators sound really bored with this. I get that a lot of our posters in this thread just look at the numbers and are not actually watching this stuff, but maybe some of you are? You're clearly more into it than I.

It certainly shows that even though the NFL network HAS to show this stuff and have

I don't say this just to denigrate anyone who watches all this stuff. I honestly tried to watch some of it as I had it on for background while I was doing other work. Actually, I was just surfing all the ROD threads as my wife came out of her studio to join me. It's just so boring without having the Rams as a clear context to it all.

Love Higgins.

But my real man crush at WR is Tre Harris. I get AJ Brown vibes and think we could trade down into the second and get him, while acquiring more picks in a deep draft. One stat that’s not utilized enough (imo) is the quarterback rating when a specific player is targeted. I believe Puka had the second highest during his draft (JSN was first), so I included it.

Harris’ QBR when targeted: 143.0…Insane

That’s higher than TetMac (110.7), Burden3 (115.2), Golden (116.6), Egbuka (121.4), Puka Nacua (BYU) 122.1.

Brown seems much thicker to me.

Does it concern you that about half of the production Harris had this year came in 3 games vs. overmatched Furman, Middle Tennessee State, and Georgia Southern?

Certainly. There’s concerns about everyone. He didn’t pick his competition though. Regardless, only Florida really shut him completely down and he still pulled in a 43yard pass for a TD. Went 7 for 100 against LSU. Got pulled early against South Carolina.

For the comparison, I was referring more to his play style than build. AJ has like 15lbs on him.

I’m not saying he’s a first round pick, but he’s certainly a solid second rounder. Good size, good enough speed, catches everything (caught 79% of targets), and runs clean routes.

Florida didn't shut him down. He reaggravated an injury in the second quarter of that game. I understand the allure of Harris, but I don't like his route running. Don't think he gets in and out of his breaks well, and I don't see great burst off the LOS. He has build-up speed (long strider) that makes him a legit vertical threat and good YAC skills. Not my cup of tea, personally, but I can understand why others would like him.

I follow college football quite a bit and see who gets invites, what their official stats are (height weight) etc is very interesting because colleges fiddle with the numbers badly sometimes. Always curious how some guy ran the 40 that put a whooping on my college team lol

The coaching doesn’t fascinate me, this is what gets my attention. Talent evaluation (potential for our team) or seeing a guy with those skill sets go to a team and analyzing why he was able to succeed or fail which I feel is very not. Concept with most people. Coolest jobs that are out there outside of pilots imo.

Like I said, I have no problem with people doing all that and I even enjoy reading their personal takes. It’s just not for me. I just am not one to get interest in it.

Don’t get me wrong. I still want to see what you all think. That is more important to me than what some talking head has to say. I feel you guys are always looking with a tilt towards what this player may bring to the Rams or how he may impact OUR draft.

FFS. You guys are OUR talking heads and we like it.
