3 weeks later, I became the moron.

I'm glad you were not there to fire me from my job or maybe throw me in jail. Luckily, the court system handeled that and allowed me to pay a hefty fine, attend classes, and do a humbling amount of community service to pay my debt to society. And most of all, teach me a very valuable lesson.

Ok. All good with you and your brother getting through a tough period.

But, you knew and still know drinking and driving is a bad thing. I've known it since being a young teenager. We all have since a young age. I've never had a dui myself.

But, here's the rub. You, me, your brother; none of us are in the public eye. Except for immediate family, no one looks at us to set an example. This GM is supposed to set an example to the team players, the organization and the whole league. He didn't. He just knocked some back and decided to take a cruz. Now, he has a video getting arrested on the internet and it will be there and tied to him forever. For these reasons, and especially since he's supposed to be setting an example, I say FIRE HIS ASS!

I think it sets a bad precendent if we start firing everyone who get drunk, or worse, gets a DUI.

It sets a great precedent. Maybe then freaking morons will stop doing it.

Yeah that's too harsh, the punishment doesn't fit the crime.

McCoy's accuser's lawyer has come out with some serious backtracking today. What an interesting case that is. She was due to be legally evicted the day after the assault. The timing is sure fishy!

This is going to be convoluted as fuck I suspect.

Let's see what the NFL does as info comes out.

They will find a way to fuck up the optics for sure.

Yeah it does. People like to see others suffer even if it's for something they themselves do..........especially if the person is famous/wealthy/someone they dislike or whatever.

We all set an example every day, good or bad. Every thing we do or say impacts everyone around us. Anyone who sees you is affected by you and/or your actions to a degree. The people closest to you the most.

Actually, I guess I agree with you.

I was trying to imply that us regular people have a smaller circle of people we interact with, as compared to that of a NFL GM who touches a vast amount of people and is in the public eye. I think I'm having trouble getting my thoughts down here, but hopefully I'm making sense.

PHOENIX — Ricky Seals-Jones, a tight end with the Arizona Cardinals, was arrested over the weekend.

Seals-Jones was arrested in Scottsdale on July 14 for assault, disorderly conduct and criminal trespassing, according to the Scottsdale Police Department.

A police report of the incident said Seals-Jones was arrested after he attempted to use the restroom inside the W Hotel in Scottsdale.


When hotel employees told him only guests were allowed inside at the time, Seals-Jones allegedly attempted to use the bathroom inside Sushi Roku, a restaurant inside the hotel, but was again denied entry.

An employee told police that Seals-Jones then became combative and allegedly pushed him. The employee said “one hand shoved him in the shoulder area.”

Seals-Jones told police that he had to go to the bathroom badly so he attempted to walk past the staff, but was taken to the ground when hotel staff pushed him.

The report said Seals-Jones appeared to be intoxicated at the time of the arrest.

The news of the arrest came the same day as Arizona Cardinals General Manager Steve Keim pleaded guilty to extreme DUI in connection to a July 4 arrest.

Keim was also suspended for five weeks and fined $200,000 following the guilty plea.

The team said the money will be donated to the Arizona chapter of Mothers Against Drunk Driving.

once i was driving the family home from a football game and didn't take a leak before we left as i wanted to beat the traffic. man oh man, halfway through the drive i knew i was in trouble. it got to the point where i knew if i didn't take a leak there and then i would piss all over my seat and car floor. i stopped when i saw some trees behind a church area. ran out desperately looking for a public toilet. nothing there. ran into the bush, tried to find a spot where nobody could see me. an oval and houses surrounded the bush area. still broad daylight, there was no hiding in the shadows. then just had to go. stood there for about two minutes. ahhh, heaven.

New Browns starter Antonio Callaway was cited for marijuana possession on Sunday morning

Browns rookie receiver Antonio Callaway was promoted to the team’s starting offense on Monday.

The day before, Callaway was stopped in his vehicle for a traffic violation at 2:59 a.m. by Strongsville police and cited for marijuana possession and driving with a suspended license.

The Browns traded former starting receiver and first-round draft pick Corey Coleman later that evening.

Callaway came to the Browns with a checkered past. He was suspended his last season at Florida for involvement in a credit card fraud case. After declaring for the draft, he tested positive for marijuana at the NFL scouting combine in February.

For those reasons, Callaway was considered a risky draft choice and he fell to the fourth round. Browns GM John Dorsey traded up in the fourth round to select Callaway with the 105th overall pick of the draft. Dorsey said he considered Callaway a worthy risk because he evaluated him "first or second" among receivers in the draft, and the Browns had a strong support staff in place to steer Callaway on the right path.

But because of Callaway's test result at the Combine, he entered the NFL automatically enrolled in the league's substance abuse program. A violation could result in a league suspension, after the legal process plays out.

According to the police incident report obtained by ESPN Cleveland, Callaway was driving his vehicle and was stopped at 2:59 a.m. on Aug. 5 when officer Eric Schubert observed him failing to yield to oncoming traffic while turning onto Howe Road.

Callaway’s driver’s license was found to be suspended. Schubert also found “a small amount” of marijuana under the driver’s seat, per the report.

According to Deputy Chief John Janowski, the amount of marijuana was small enough to be regarded as a minor misdemeanor under Ohio law.

Callaway was picked up by a family member, per the report, and Callaway was cited to Strongsville Mayor’s Court at 9:30 Thursday morning.

The Browns may not have been aware of the incident.

Callaway was promoted to the first team on Monday. After practice, he appeared in front of news media, but wasn't asked about the incident because it wasn't known.

Despite the news, Callaway practiced with the first team on Tuesday. In a goal line drill, he scored a touchdown carrying the ball on an end-around run.

During practice, the Browns issued the following statement:

"We're aware of the citation [and] are in the process of gathering more information and will comment further at the appropriate time."

That is such a Browns thing to happen though. Even though Coleman has been junk it would figure the day they trade away another bust of a first rounder their "already on thin ice with league policy" rookie WR they took a chance on gets in trouble

can someone please clue me in. is it standard procedure in america to search a car when it's been stopped for a traffic violation? i've been stopped many times for a traffic violation, a few after midnight, and not once have the cops searched my car. why would they search his car?
