Mental illness, immaturity, addiction problems. Take your pick.

It sure sounds like there's something not right with him - doesn't change the fact that he's committed those crimes though - I hope he gets the help he needs AND gets punished for some disgusting behaviour.

He's a serial rapist. He shouldn't be in the general public.

NFL'S BRANDON BROWNER JAILED FOR DOMESTIC BATTERY

0620-brandon-browner-mad02-tmz-3.jpg

Ex-Seattle Seahawks star Brandon Browner was arrested and convicted in a domestic battery case stemming from a May incident ... TMZ Sports has learned.

According to court docs, Browner was arrested in L.A. County on May 6, 2018 for battery and child endangerment. Details surrounding the incident are unclear.

But records show Browner pled no contest to the charges and was sentenced to probation.

Here's where things go from bad to worse ... sometime after the conviction, the court found Browner had violated his probation from a previous case -- and ordered him to serve 60 days in jail.

He was released after just 2 days due to overcrowding.

A rep for the L.A. Sheriff's Dept. tells us, "Anyone sentenced to 180 days or less for a non serious offense is immediately released due to continuing overcrowding."

It's just the latest in a string of legal issues for the former Pro Bowl cornerback who's been arrested several times ever since his career ended back in 2015.

We reached out to Browner for comment, but haven't heard back.

To make it worse, they say he did 2 days. In practice that usually means by the time his paperwork was done he probably got officially admitted at 10 pm or so, so they had him sit around and then processed him out shortly after midnight. I doubt he was ever actually in the general jail population.

Still, @nighttrain is correct. Having this on his record, even with general release, likely means if he's convicted of another crime he's a repeat offender - and in the US that often means that mandatory sentencing is far stronger.

Might want to keep an eye on this:

http://www.phillyvoice.com/philadelphia-eagles-lito-sheppard-car-vandalized-jabar-gaffney-florida/

By Daniel Craig,

A former college teammate vandalized the car of ex-Eagles cornerback Lito Sheppard in Florida, police said.

According to FirstCoastNews, Sheppard called the Jacksonville Beach Police Department on Monday, June 17, and claimed his car was damaged while eating at a restaurant. Sheppard said he didn't notice the damage until leaving and had to pull over to have his car towed.

He called the restaurant and asked to view surveillance video. The business complied, and Sheppard gave the video to News4Jax. In the footage, a black car parks next to Sheppard's white BMW. A man gets out an appears to pour something on the gas tank of Sheppard's car. A woman also gets out of the black car, gets something from the trunk and bends down near each of the BMW's four tires.

Sheppard told the news station that his car stalled about a block away from the restaurant. He discovered that all four tires had been slashed and there were marks where the gas tank had been forcibly opened. The damages cost about $14,000, according to Sheppard.

Police announced Friday that they believe the vandalism was conducted by Derrick "Jabar" Gaffney — who is Sheppard's cousin, was his teammate at the University of Florida and played 11 seasons in the NFL — along with his longtime girlfriend, who was not named by authorities.

Sheppard reportedly said that he and Gaffney have a long-running feud that dates back to 2012, although the reason for the grudge is not clear. Sheppard and Gaffney, both 37 years old, also played football together at Raines High School in Jacksonville.

Sheppard played seven seasons for the Eagles from 2002-2008, earning two Pro Bowl selections, before moving on to stints with the Jets, Vikings and Raiders. He was briefly teammates again with Gaffney in 2006 when Philadelphia signed the wide receiver to a one-year contract, but Gaffney was cut before the start of the season.

Gaffney has a history of legal troubles, with the most recent incident happening in 2017 when he was arrested for domestic battery.

Jacksonville Beach police have not announced an arrest as of Saturday.

Police: Ex-NFL star Lito Sheppard's car vandalized by former Raines HS and Florida Gators teammate
Former Pro Bowl cornerback and Jacksonville native Lito Sheppard's vehicle was vandalized by another former NFL player with local ties on Monday while he was dining out in Jacksonville Beach, police said.

Former Pro Bowl cornerback and Jacksonville native Lito Sheppard's vehicle was vandalized by a former high school and college teammate on Monday in Jacksonville Beach, police said.

The Jacksonville Beach Police Department responded to a call from Sheppard, who said he was eating inside the Pier Cantina when his vehicle was vandalized. Sheppard said he wasn't aware that his vehicle was damaged until he was driving it home from the restaurant. He said once he pulled over, he had to get his vehicle towed to the BMW dealership for repair.

Sheppard said he called the restaurant and they allowed him to view the surveillance video. He named former Florida Gators teammate Derrick "Jabar" Gaffney and his longtime girlfriend as suspects, according to the police report. He said the two have an ongoing feud that began in 2012.

"Gaffney retrieved some type of tool and a container from the suspect's vehicle, walked over to the passenger's side of the victim's vehicle near the gas tank, and pried it open," the report said. "Gaffney then poured an unknown substance from the container into the gas tank ... The unknown female walked around the vehicle and stabbed all of the tires with a sharp object."

The suspects fled the scene in an unknown direction. Sheppard said his vehicle sustained about $14,000 in damages.

Both Sheppard and Gaffney played football at Raines High School before moving on to notable careers at the University of Florida and in the NFL.

Sheppard was named an All-Pro in 2004 and he was selected to two Pro Bowls while playing for the Philadelphia Eagles. A first-round pick in 2002, Sheppard played for four teams during his 10-year career, which ended in 2011.

Gaffney was a second-round pick in the same draft as Sheppard. He played for seven teams during his 11-year NFL career. He was arrested in September of last year on a battery charge and in 2016 on marijuana charges.

This is a dumbass motherfucker.

Don't you just assume that if you are in a place of business or in the parking lot that you are on camera?

Who doesn't assume that?............I'm curious what your answers are.

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. — A former defensive end for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the University of Alabama has been arrested on drug charges in Florida.

Pinellas County Jail records show 50-year-old Keith McCants was arrested early Monday near St. Petersburg. He's charged with a felony count of possession of crack cocaine and driving with a revoked or suspended license. He bonded out of jail, but records don't list a lawyer.

Jail records show multiple arrests since 2010. His most recent arrest was in January, for driving with a suspended license. Court records show he faces a July 10 court date.

McCants made the All-America Team at Alabama and was selected fourth overall by the Buccaneers in the 1990 NFL Draft. His career ended in 1995. He also played for the Oilers and Cardinals.
