Makes you wonder if the Cards arent spreading covid to their opponents. It sure seems odd that the day after playing arizona teams get hit with covid. How many cards players have tested positive the last 2 weeks? Are they not testing?
Stafford's much more of a gunslinger, good for 12-13 INTs a year. Rodgers is probably the best QB ever at limiting the INTs; he's probably around half that rate. The difference between going to Detroit versus Green Bay is huge, though; Stafford's showing how good he is with a competent team this year. Rodgers is still at another level, though.People, people, what if you switched Rodgers and Stafford for their careers? Stafford drafted by green Bay and Rodgers in Detroit for 12 years.
My guess is no superbowl and maybe no HOF for Aaron

And what if Stafford had played for McVay all these years? With Gurley, Woods, Kupp and now, OBJ?Yeah… and… that Hero ball is tough to unlearn. Who’s to say that Rodgers doesn’t fall into that trap as well if he’s in Detroit?
It’s an interesting hypothetical tho
I think Rodgers is the most talented QB in NFL history. There’s no one on his level when you look at the combination of footwork, arm talent, and football IQ. He’s legit in a class by himself—with all respect to Montana, Brady, Marino, Elway, etc.Stafford's much more of a gunslinger, good for 12-13 INTs a year. Head to head he's not as good as Rodgers. But that's ok. You don't have to be that good to win Super Bowls. Not like that's a required threshold. Can he be good enough in this offense? Certainly, as long as the entire team can put together consistent outings. And what if Stafford had played for McVay all these years? With Gurley, Woods, Kupp and now, OBJ?
With a defense.
May well have been a different player altogether, with the skills he brings that are the equal of Rodgers.
It’s been really fun watching him play this year.
Probably shouldn't worry about Dallas. They're the product of a patty cake schedule and division.
You really believe that, huh?Stafford is every bit the QB Rodgers is at this point which is all I care about.
You really believe that, huh?
I loathe Rodgers with every fiber of my being, but the guy is amazing. Stafford is a Dallas kid, so I don't actually hate him at all. I'd give Rodgers the knod, though.100%
I think if you put up a number of facets, Rodgers would be better with some and Stafford would be better with others, but I think it evens out.
No question that Stafford is tougher... I mean can you imagine us talking about Stafford's fucking TOE for weeks on end???
Having a good run game going into Green Bay is essential, especially in potential sub zero/snow conditions. Will the new McVay wielding a run game in Sony Michele continue to ground and pound, or will the ghost of Christmas past raise its ugly head, and make Stafford heave the rock +35 attempts? Anything can happen in this Covid environment.Beating the Packers isn't about Stafford vs Rodgers though. It's about playing better on defense which starts with shutting down his run game. Last year in the playoffs our defense caved on the ground. This year the defense actually played more stout on the ground and looks like they have improved a lot to date.
We still need Stafford to play well to beat them. And we need the secondary to play well too. But I don't think it's an impossible game by virtue of a Stafford/Rodgers comparison.
Obviously I don't favor us going to Green Bay in the playoffs. Still, though, we're one of the teams that is capable of that with some elevated play by certain parts of the team.
I think it will depend on the D. If they are moving thru the D like butter, like they did in last years playoffs you might see McVay revert.Having a good run game going into Green Bay is essential, especially in potential sub zero/snow conditions.
