We will have to go win at Lambo which seems pretty unlikely. Especially given GB will be getting back 3 monsters for the playoffs: Bakhtiari, Zaire Alexander, and Zadarius Smith. Three pro bowl players. Insane they've been able to keep winning like they have given all their injuries. I have a feeling GB comes out of the NFC this year unless we go on a serious tear.
If we get the #2 seed we will not have to play them till NFC championship. they possibly could loose. But if we are healthy we have just as good a chance as anybody to win. Including GB. We have a QB that can do almost as good Rodgers. Just less mobile. Our run D has looked better and our offense is pretty damn potent. Health is the key.

Is it possible that the Rams are now sand bagging. Not announcing all the players that can come off the covid list. They said the majority were not showing any symptoms. We still have over 20 players on the list.

Good points on the realignment going on.

I would rather play the Cards then Dallas.

The cowboys now have a defense and are getting healthier. Demarcus Lawrence coming back to match with Parsons, Diggs and Gregory.

The Cards defense is lacking in playmakers and their offense is reeling.

Bucs lost Godwin. So, the only team I really think would be very hard to beat is the Packers.

Stafford isn't in the same class as Rodgers sorry. I'm one of the biggest Stafford fans here, but there are levels to QBs and AR is on a completely different tier.

We've played GB twice in the last two years, both at Lambo and they completely kicked our ass both games. Warm weather teams, especially SoCal teams have a tough time going to freezing cold weather in the playoffs and winning. Its doable sure but we will be the underdogs by far. And have no doubt GB will be hosting the NFCC game at their house. Like I said, they've been beating teams handily and are about to get 3 pro bowl players back. Their best OL, best CB, and best DL are all about to return.

Every division leader in the NFC has a weak schedule compared to the West. It’s tough to tell just how good a team like the Buccaneers are when the play the Panthers and Falcons twice each.

The numbers this year say he is in the same class.

And Rodgers only has one SB ring. How many would he have if he played for the Lions? I'll help you answer that, the answer is zero.

Beating the Packers isn't about Stafford vs Rodgers though. It's about playing better on defense which starts with shutting down his run game. Last year in the playoffs our defense caved on the ground. This year the defense actually played more stout on the ground and looks like they have improved a lot to date.

We still need Stafford to play well to beat them. And we need the secondary to play well too. But I don't think it's an impossible game by virtue of a Stafford/Rodgers comparison.

Obviously I don't favor us going to Green Bay in the playoffs. Still, though, we're one of the teams that is capable of that with some elevated play by certain parts of the team.

Thought we were destined for Dallas. Which I was really hoping for.
Now we are looking at a Cardinal rematch.( if I have this right)
I know a lot can change between now and then.

Just curious who you guys would like to be our first playoff opponent

I still think it's a good chance the Rams win the NFC west.

The Ravens had a shot and blew it against the packers.

Lmfao. The numbers say he's in the same class? How about your eyes and your brain? Rodgers is a two time league MVP and super bowl MVP. Snap out of it man jesus christ.

Stafford is an absolute stud, a perennial pro bowl talent for sure. But Rodgers is in the top 5 all time and a legit case can be made he's the most talented QB ever. So I'm not going to waste any more time with you if you dont know that then it's on you.

I agree with your whole post but it comes down to this sentence. That was my only point. To me going to GB is the absolute worst matchup for us, especially after seeing how they've kicked out ass two years in a row. Id rather play in Tampa or AZ and it's not even close.

We will not be a favorite in that game, and we will struggle to win it. Especially given the 3 pro bowlers they're about to have back on the roster. It's not about Rodgers vs Stafford no, but there are some lunatics around here that have the nerve to say Stafford is as good as ARod so I guess I'm the one that needs to defend the reality of which we live in. No one loves Stafford more than me, but there still 3-4 QBs that are better than him and its a fact.

Stafford doesn't deserve to be talked about as being in ARod's class it is true. But is it worth carrying a flag for? I don't see where the return is on all that but knock yourself out.

So tonight we will see if the Rams are primed to charge into the playoffs, glide into the playoffs or stumble into the playoffs. Win or lose I’m looking to see no holds barred execution and effort.

Best case (somewhat realistic) scenario, which I haven't really thought about because it feels a bit unlikely....

We win out
Cardinals lose to Colts but beat Cowboys

We would be the 2 seed which allows us to avoid GB for as long as possible.

Agree thats ideal, but I think we still want Dallas to beat AZ. Then if AZ loses to Indy and Dallas we can go 3-1 and win the west...and get a home playoff game, there will be upsets in the playoffs...

A lot of that can be attributed to Gaines and Robinson (but mostly Gaines)
SJD - he is good against good to mediocre centers but against top flight centers - he gets pushed back a lot
