I agree. Listen we could argue that the Rams should stay in STL l, sure but we can not argue the fact that a team in LA will make way more money then STL could every make. That's a fact. There's is a reason why the NFL says they want 2 teams in LA and the Chargers and Raiders are teaming up. You think 1 team playing in arguably the best stadium in the world wont make tons of profit. It's a given. No matter what anyone says as off right now there is a bigger Rams fan base in LA then the chargers and raiders combined.

1.Right owner (Bc he's rich)
2. Right team
3. Right stadium

That's the recipe to relocate in LA
Nobody is denying that there is more money to be made in L.A. Hell, there's more money to be made in L.A. than about 90% of the other cities in L.A. but that doesn't mean that the owners of those teams would be willing to move there if they could. Kroenke is already rich as hell on his own and we're not even talking about what his better half is worth. At the end of the day, it will be up to the vote to determine if he will be able to move this franchise and that's if he will even file for relocation. One thing I can tell you is the Rams moving to L.A. will not put any money in any of the other owners' pockets.

I'm just waiting for the city of St. Louis, the Chargers and Raiders make another announcement just to see this thing take another turn. I've already said that I don't really care anymore, but this stuff is pretty entertaining to me.

The NFL would force Kroenke to stay in St. Louis, not the dome. If the Rams stay, being in the dome would be Stan's choice. It really is simple and I don't understand how some do not get it. If the Rams stay, Stan can either: A. Put up his part of the $$$ for the new stadium. B. Stick with the EJD. C. Acquire his own land and put up his own stadium.

You may not be able to see any of that happening, but like everyone else here you do not know what will happen.

He could also tank the St Louis market, so the NFL needs to leave because it's just a black hole with an owner openly pissed about being forced there.

Not that I expect him to do that, but the NFL forcing him to stay if he doesn't want to won't exactly mean it's automatic rainbows and puppies.

I listen to local STL radio shows via podcasts at insidestl.com daily. I'm s truck driver so I have spare time and also have Siriusxm hooked up. Anyway the majority of the radio hosts in STL think the Rams are gone. And nationally via mad dog radio and NFL radio think the Rams are gone. Spanos and Mark keep on saying we want to stay but Stan is dead he's not doing anything.

I think he wants to go, and there's a better chance he leaves than stays, but I wouldn't count any chickens yet, there's still a long ways to go. I think May we'll get another batch of information. Until then I'm not really sure we'll get more from LA other than permits are ready to build (my guess is that'll be around September) and maybe more details about the stadium. Carson will get the same thing, passed and ready to build, etc etc. St Louis we'll hear when financing is done, etc etc.

I don't think we'll really know what's going on until December, I get the feeling they'll move up the relocation date, and we'll get our answer then.

Going back to a previous article though, I don't know how that stadium has a retractable roof, must have been a mistake. Unless they're going to change that roof a bit, I don't see tracks or what looks like a clean split for it to open. I get the feeling it's just that clear dome.

I never said that I KNOW what's going to happen. But I've got an opinion based on what I see and read. And IMO, Stan has paved a a brilliant path to LA. For himself and the NFL. I believe the NFL has always wanted back into the 2nd largest market in the country, and the entertainment capital of the world. But they've been looking for the right circumstances. Stan gives them their best shot in 2 decades. And its a real doosie!

After all that has come out, I do not believe SK is using LA as leverage. And I do not believe the NFL will try to "force" him to stay in St Louis. IMO, Stan will announce the move of the Rams to LA later this year, or early next year, and the NFL will be backing him.

Now just to be clear......., thats what I THINK will happen. Am I 100% sure? Of course not. But I'm right around 95%. :)

The NFL can't force him to stay in St. Louis. Anti trust laws see to that. They can enforce penalties for not abiding by the bylaws, but can't force and owner to stay.
IMO the thing that will "force" SK to stay in St. Louis is if the owners agree to the project and subsequent move for San diego and oakland to Carson.
I'd have to believe that even Stan would find having 3 teams in LA excessive

Again why would a State approve public money for a stadium when they have an opportunity to have one with private money? Sorry, IMO, Kronke will be in Los Angeles I just don't know if the Rams will be with him.

So I've come to the conclusion that I no longer give a fuck what happens to the Rams. They can move to fucking Alaska if they want. I can sit here and bitch all I want but as soon as I see the horns on the field all bets are off. This whole debacle has made me lose interest. It makes me sick knowing that the NFL and Stan don't give a shred of a shit about the fans. So I might as well just enjoy my team.

I'm starting to feel that way too. I don't live in St. Louis anymore, but if they abandon the city of my birth I might leave them too. I also just don't know if we'll ever win with Kroenke as owner. He doesn't seem to care other than to make money. He's alienated the fans in St. Louis and it's really all his fault. I hope he sells the team that I love

I didn't say the state would. I'm saying if it happened.

I applaud you gentlemen that can just change teams on the fly and root for another. I've been rooting for the same teams since I've been 7 years of age (1973)...Rams, Dodgers, Lakers & Kings and could not change now if I am in the community of the team like I was with Ohio State in Columbus, Ohio than I can understand. I rooted for Notre Dame as a kid, but going to Buckeye games for 8 years made me a fan, but I still root for Notre Dame too.

Again I don't know how I would react if I based my allegiance on the teams that were closest to me, however, I can understand to a degree.

David Hunn of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch was in Arizona this week for the NFL owners meetings and talked to several people in the know about the prospect of the Rams moving to the Los Angeles area and the future of football in St. Louis. Hunn joined The Ryan Kelley Morning After on Thursday to discuss what he heard during his trip and gave his thoughts on how thinks the situation will unfold.

No, I would never leave them. Too much time and money and dedication has gone into them. I have a fucking Rams tattoo, so I have no choice but to be a lifer. But this whole thing has gotten me less interested in the NFL as a whole. And if they move we gotta deal with LA fans being douchebags about this for the next 20 years. And then they'll move again.

Not saying this is the case in your situation, but I do find it somewhat convenient for some "long time Ram fans" from LA to say its always team over location, when they haven't had a local team for 20 years.

I was die hard STL Football Cardinals fan, was sick when they moved, but you know what, as soon as the Rams became the ST. LOUIS RAMS, they became my team. I think there would be plenty of fans in LA who would have changed allegiances over the past 20 years had one of the other teams followed thru on their leverage plans and moved. I realize not all, but many.

Oh, I wasn't saying it was rainbows and puppies. I was just saying that the NFL can't force him to stay in the dome, only the city. If he stays in the dome, that is his choice. That's all.
