So from the announcing booth in Tennessee Dave McGinnis was able to sign Andrew Whitworth and John Sullivan, cut GRob, trade for Watkins, draft Everett, Kupp, and bring in Woods, switch to a 3-4, sign webster and NRC, switch Joyner to safety, navigate the AD holdout intact, switche Brockers to end, and give Goff the confidence to play, plus revive Gurley's hunger for football... ...

Impressive

Kudos to Dave McGinnis
And put Ethan Westbrooks at NT of all things. That one still amazes me, and the way he is performing is also amazing to say the least!!

I'd like to weigh in on the Jeff Fisher saga. Many criticize him for not hiring a quality, legitimate OC but my point is that he didn't because nobody who is an upcoming and talented OC would ever take a job with this dude.
I mean really does anybody think that a Kyle Shanahan or Sean McVay or any other top emerging OCs would put their careers in jeopardy and work for a slug like Fish? That would be tantamount to career suicide.

Nope, it's my opinion that Fish hired the Schottenheimers and Cignettis and Boras of this world because nobody of any potential and substance would take the job.

And this in the end is what doomed Fish to fail and is why he needs to STAY retired......

Then it’s not hard to tick you off.

That said , will see where the season brings us.

I like the fact before the season. A lot of posters were feeling the run of 1999.

We can’t say any of us knew Kurt Warren was going to be who he was. I was a believer in Trent Greene. Kurt had him at his HOF introduction & thanked him.

Faulk was a core player . Holt wars a solid pick with great hands.Az kEm was a burner, who I thought was a #2wr.
Ricky Prohal was a nice addition.

I”ll say this about the 2017 Defense is a better team ?? Still I can sY the were piece that were pretty awesome. Fred Carter for one.

London Fletcher, Grant Winstrom. Even down to a Clemens. Dr’e Bly & The guy from Clemson on he other side. Was a fun season. Maybe the Fred was Miller OT both guys Fisher picked up the following year.

Well I was 9, so I really didn't know or care about speculation and roster analysis back then.

Also I really don't know what your point here is.

Rams are showing the talent you failed to work with for so long.. They are happy you are no longer their coach I’m sure.
-----------
Actually Jeff. It’s the exact opposite.
McVay is showing the NFL that you can’t coach anymore by making a run with the players you had.
----------
This guy needs to be drug tested before Christmas. He might be the worst coach ever.
----------
Don’t even think about it, Cleveland. 7-9 would be a huge improvement and get Fisher an extension
----------
No Jeff, the new coach is showing that coaching does matter, you say your players then why is he getting them to perform?

You have always been an overrated coach and this proves it.

I'm pretty sure he forgot Torrey Holdt, Issac Brooce, Marshal Fawlk, and Urlando Payce.

Kyle worked in Cleveland.

Fish hired the guys who shared his offensive philosophy.

Fischer is partially right. With the rams having primarily the same roster, this is good evidence that fisher should NEVER (emphasis here) get another head coaching job.

Almost the exact same things Titans fans were saying when he left TENN and got the Rams job... if anyone had bothered to check (I did).
