I ran into an interesting dilemma in our latest 32-team mock draft where Love and USC’s Makai Lemon were both available at No. 13. I went with Lemon,
Seems like a careless misreading of his article and not taking the mock draft done by 31 other beat writers into context.

Perhaps I'm overvaluing context when it comes to reading comprehension.

Okay, maybe not Atkins, but then the cumulative mocks which had Love available at 13 are so 3 months ago and seemingly laughable.

Can't see how Love would move the needle much. If he falls to 13 then maybe, but with Williams and Corum complimenting each other so well don't see the need. Best OLineman would be a good use of the draft capitol since Snead is so adept at finding Receiver talent later in the draft and not so good in the first couple rounds.

Drafting Love does not necessarily mean we HAVE TO trade Kyren.
True, but for me personally, if including KW or Corum in a deal can retain one or two of our draft picks that would otherwise have to be included….id prefer to move one of them.

IMO Williams grants the higher value (over Corum)in a hypothetical trade up to a team wanting to solidify their RB room.

Reading the article, it sure seems like Rams would keep KW if only for his pass pro in Nate's opinion. He then goes on to say, is it worth taking a guy if he's only gonna play two downs.

I would be very surprised based on current reports if Love got past the Commodes at 7. Certainly makes sense in an attempt to make Daniels life easier. Is it impossible Love makes it to 13? No. Is it likely? No. In fact I would say highly unlikely.

Think about how the needle moved when Gurley replaced Tre Mason, and how we couldn’t stop Bijan Robinson

Yeah I read it. My reply was to Coliseum stating we didn’t necessarily have to trade KW in any trade up for Love scenario. I’d prefer getting some trade value with KW. Corum is cheaper and I like him as a #2 behind the bell cow.

Everything I’ve read and seen from Love suggests he’s ready in all phases for pro back responsibilities including pass pro.

In other words, he’d be the immediate #1. Our OL and TE’s are pretty good. IMO they have elevated our current RB’s quite a bit.

Having an elite back to run through those holes and catch those screens? I can imagine Stafford thinking to himself “Someone else making big plays while I stand and watch…amazing.”
