Would someone please tell me, when did Goff break his thumb? Before or after that 2nd quarter pick?
Well after. He broke his thumb later in the 3rd quarter.

I still think you need another edit. Green Bay has not locked up the final spot (according to Playoff Machine).Green Bay has not locked up the #1 spot since Seattle won.
I believe the Seahawks still have a chance.
Edit - Green Bay beat Tennessee so yeah they have the number 1 spot
Someone said this and it's so true:
"They said Goff is like a spoiled child who doesn’t listen and fucks up because he knows he won’t be punished for it"
I think Goff is afraid to play bad because his GF is going to dump him if he doesn't s
After - that pick was possibly the worst pass I have ever seen Goff throw
At least the other interceptions he was throwing to someone in the vicinity
But this was just a who the frick is he throwing to throw
He overthrew Woods and to the left by 10 to 15 yards
It didn't even look like he was trying to throw to Woods
I sarcastically said to my wife
Man if I didn't know better I would think Goff was trying to throw this game with that throw
Where was Rodgers, Wilson and others when Goff was leading the top offense?
sitting at home asking for upgrades at Oline and WR.
Guys just a slow processor I'm afraid. But McVay also shares a lot of blame for the troubles this year. He's got to go back to the drawing board, look at how we played BEFORE the Pats game and after the Ravens defeat in 2019, and go BACK to that.
Very concerned with Akers & Henderson, both of them to this point do not seem very durable, Akers has been out twice and over two years, when Henderson is utilized quite a bit, he seems to get dinged up.
The whole offense has regressed.
I would take Goff over Philadelphia, Oakland, Arizona (yes I said it - he is going to be out of the league in two years), San Francisco, Denver New Your Giants, New York Jets, NE, Jacksonville, Washington, Carolina, Minnesota (never been a Cousins fan), Chicago (Trubinsky sucks and will come back to earth), Cleveland. It's funny you mentioned the Matts. After the game, I went through each division and the team's QBs to see in all honestly, who I would take Jared Goff over right now. I came up with 3....Washington, NE, and Jacksonville. 2 more (Denver and Giants) are probably a wash.
It sucks, I hate it. I like Jared, I really do. But after 5 years and this is what we get. Man, this sucks. I've haven't been this down after an L for a long time. I can't get over it.
Cmon you have to add Chicago, Philly, maybe even Atlanta as teams you would take Goff over their QBs at the moment. Still Goff is a bottom tier starter in the NFL right now and theres no disputing that factIt's funny you mentioned the Matts. It's not just you. 17/18 we had ppl running free all the time nowadays it's a perfect throw or bust. The thing screaming visually at me right now... The throwing windows are so tight.
The precision required to move the ball, no wonder we break down.
Where is the open running receiver? At least occasionally? (I’m joking... but you get the point).
Goff is struggling, but does he ever get easy throws any more? Everything is timing, timing, timing....
Probably a dozen times, I’m watching games this year and I’ve said out loud to myself... “I don’t like our offense”.
“Even when it works... it feels like a lot of work.”.
I keep asking myself; am I seeing this wrong?

Old and done in a year or two
Brees
Rivers
Brady
Big Ben
Rookies (we will see)
San Diego
Cinncinnati
Miami
QBs I am not sure if I would take over Goff
Jackson - every time I see a good game from him he has 5 seconds to throw to a wide open receiver
Stafford - just don't think much of him but maybe

The Rams have everything on a silver platter right now and it can't be capitalized on thanks to QB play.
Thats so true?
Criticize his play this season, his decision making and thats cool because you are a fan watching him play and his performance hasn't been good.
Nothing - not one thing I have EVER read about Jared Goff squares with that comment. His teammates at Cal, the work he put in to make a huge jump and lead one of the highest scoring Offenses in his second and third season. He doesn't blame his shitty o-line, he doesn’t make excuses for himself, he doesn't say or do shitty things that we read about on twitter.... over and over again the players that have come to LA in recent years all speak to the culture and locker room camaraderie as being the best they have ever been around. The QB is a big part of that. You really believe Goff is strolling into Rams Park every day like some spoiled child and just not giving a shit? Andrew Whitworth, Cooper Kupp, Robert Woods and Sean McVay all clearly like Goff the person.
The only negative things I've ever read about his character come from fans who only know they don't like him and getting people to agree he is playing bad is never enough - some need everyone to think he's a shitty person too.
I am going to review each one of Goff's pass plays in the All 22 and see if he had a chance to throw.I know that there are a lot of emotions right now after back to back losses but I see a lot of hyperbole about Goff's accuracy (or slowness) or McVay "simplifying the offense." That's not accurate.
If you review the game, Goff was making much tighter window throws than Wilson (and I'm not saying Wilson is worse). Especially on third down.
0:04, 0:16, 0:27 (on the run after protection broke down), 2:13 (protecting his receiver), 2:32 (quick decision under pressure)
Then with a broken thumb: 6:56, 9:08,
Wait ... WHAT???? I had to do a double take and read that twice.
The Rams have everything a silver platter?? We have an OL that can't get consistent push in the running game and cannot pass protect long enough to allow longer patterns to develop, hence the short routes. We have WR's that, while technically skilled, do not scare defenses deep. We have RB's that cannot remain consistently healthy. We have a playcaller who has himself regressed in his creativity, has become predictable, and who stubbornly sticks with things that are not effective rather than trying to change things up continues to run largely the same scheme and same plays he began the season with, even though teams have now figured out how to defend it.
Call out Goff all you want for lack of ball security, bonehead plays like his INT yesterday, and so on. But please don't pretend everything has been handed to our QB on a silver platter and the only thing holding us back is his play. That is simply not an accurate reflection of the current reality at all.
Read it again, man. I stand by it.
- The OL is part of a RBBC that is 10th in the league in rushing yards. I don't even remember where I said this before but this is without an elite RB or running QB like Lamar or Kyler. They have 19 rushing TDs, 6th best. A few came from Jared on the goalline.
- Why do you think no one is scared of the WRs right now? Is it more on them or the person throwing them the ball?
- Why do you think Sean McVay has to severly limit his playcalling? Could it be because the QB isn't executing even the basics right now? At least consistnently.
For the reasons I mentioned above, and having a defense that's the league's top 3, maybe the best, there's no reason why a QB can't thrive.

very well said amigo, lots to fix,, but Goff way down on the listWait ... WHAT???? I had to do a double take and read that twice.

That's not a silver platter, that's a fucking lead platter, lead poisoning and all.
