Music is what you make of it. I like the Carpenters, I admit it. Mr. Mister’s Kyrie and Broken Wings are epic.

I hated the song Manic Monday by the Bangles because it was the song on my radio that would wake me when my alarm sounded. Every day for a year. Someone at the radio station had it on their loop at exactly 7 am. Bastids. That was over 36 years ago. Still recovering. It felt like the movie Groundhog Day. Lol.
I know what you mean. I spent a long day at the Manteca Water Slides in NorCal and Paul Simon’s Slip Slidin and Away was on a loop...I didn’t like that one anyway, but it drove me apeshit after that day was over.

Everybody should at least listen to Prince. I'm not going to force him on you, but I consider him one of the best song writers in my lifetime, and I'm old. He could absolutely shred a guitar as well.

That being said, I had a friend of mine that got laid over at O'hare. He approached a bar where a lot of people were laughing and carrying on. When he went in he saw that Prince was in there with his entourage. My friend didn't like Prince's music that much but knew who he was and that he liked college basketball. He walked up to Prince and asked him about the ACC. He told me that some of the entourage looked at him in a weird way, like, "What are you doing talking to Prince?" Prince bought him a beer and talked college basketball until their flight out.

The thing I'll always remember about this song

I was in the Navy , sitting at the desk filling out some financial expenditure's and this song was playing on the radio , when they interrupted the song to first report the news of the Chernobyl disaster

so ever since that day , every time I hear this song , I'm reminded of Chernobyl

Just to be clear... I DON’T LIKE AIR SUPPLY.

I was commenting on @RhodyRams apparent admiration for their music.
My hard rock college roommate listened to Air Supply. I made fun of him. I think it reminded him of his high school days with his hot girlfriend. That’s same girl that had me listening to Bread. LOL. I tried turning that on a few weeks ago. How did I ever like that crap.

So many embarrassing songs in this thread, but you guys (and gals?) are spot on! I have found that as I get older, I start to appreciate the love songs so much more... Ann Murray, Carpenters, Bee Gees, etc. Loved Barry Manilow in high school though.

Admit it Dino, you and I both practiced singing this song behind closed doors....
