The Docs are not giving me the option for that. Keep telling me replacement does not fix arthritis. I’m at seeing a specialist in May to get more info about what I can do. I have just lived with it but now coaching my kids team it has made it very hard so now I am being more aggressive to try and fix it.
Have you tried CBD at all?
I make a CBD oil rub for my mother for her should....also arthritic and messed up....and it has been effective and helpful.
It's not a miracle cure or anything by has been more effective than over the counter treatments and helps with inflammation/pain.

I have to ask y'all a question. Why would a Patriots beat writer get this information when nobody with connections to the Rams has any idea? The Rams are being tight-lipped about everything with Gurley. Why are people so quick to trust this information as legitimate? This information happens to come right on the heels of the Rams saying that they're going to reduce Gurley's workload to try and keep him fresh. Seems to me that it could easily be a reporter (or a source) trying to fill in the gaps and guessing.

True. Right now its just an unnamed source. So that that with a grain of salt. But it was clear Gurley was not himself at the end of the season. And we know what a heavy workload can do to a running back with or without arthritis. Which is why I think we need to bring back CJ. Reduce Todd's workload and his career lasts longer. And we might have our elite running back come playoff time.

I have it and it strikes at any moment without notice. I can be walking or running and feeling great, then literally am brought to my knees with pain. Usually strikes when I am pushing off on my feet and going upstairs.

Granted I’m 51 now but I was playing competive baseball at 40 and had to quit cuz the pain was too much especially after a game or after running and jumping a lot. Still the same today. Doc says nothing I can do just PT which at my age is useless

What about medication? Have you tried Celebrex or one of its generics?

My mother had arthritis but also had bone on bone issues in the knee.

That's what finally stopped Holt's career. When it got to that point he dropped off over two seasons then completely declined.

Like I said they need to approach this as it's going to shorten his career and really decrease his production. It's unfortunate but the future of the Rams will likely not include Gurley. It's sad because he is such a likable guy.

Ugh. Again, vague third-hand reporting.

Surprised that the answer seems to be “do nothing and hope”... why aren’t they considering micro-fracture surgery?

Frankly, I’m concerned that this news might be even worse than if he had torn his ACL a second time. Again, we’ll just have to wait until they give us more accurate info.
With the investment they have in TG the Rams will be giving him all the best options that are known on this planet.

I have arthritis in my back, hips and left knee. Whats funny about the knee is, it only bothers me at night when I'm sleeping. I wake up a lot with it feeling like its inflamed and really aching. When I'm up I don't notice it. Doc says its because the muscles around it tend to relax and not hold it when sleeping and then the bone touches bone. Kinda weird if you ask me.

My point is, if Gurley really does have arthritis there's levels of it I believe. For some it can be manageable. I ache after walking 18 holes of golf. But its nothing a little rest and ibuprofin won't fix. Maybe Gurley's isn't that bad. Just reduce the workload and he might be fine.

Thinking this is a wrong diagnosis. Said from the beginning it's chronic tendon inflammation. There is no miracle treatment, replacing the knee or tendon won't do anything. McVay wouldn't lie to press or on injury report.

TGII going to have to deal with pain management including icing knees down and potentially exploring stem cell or platelet rich plasma treatment. Same thing mamba got. Again not guaranteed to eliminate pain, but maybe give TGII a few more good years.

Haha.
This is not the best breakfast I've ever had.....
Anyway, my mom is 84 and a THC was not going to work for her.
Made a good rub with CBD and other things and it's works well and longer that over the counter stuff....and does not stink.

Excellent point but TG's reduced playing time and lack of production as the season progressed has had everyone thinking it was more than we've been told.

I'm going to count this as a rumor until someone other than a Cheatriots writer has definitive proof about whatever is wrong with Gurley.

If you gave me an option for Gurley's contract, I'd still pay it. He's been the best back in football for the past two years, and he deserved that contract.
