Still need a QB who can make the throws. He's having a MVP caliber year.
No more than Sam Darnold

This is an excellent point. It just can't be overstated how important it is to take coaching, scheme and surrounding cast into account. Darnold looks like a completely different QB with KOC and those weapons. No more than Sam Darnold
Goff's passing numbers are better across the board than Darnold's.No more than Sam Darnold
He seems to be waiting for the right situation. Can't blame him on that. There's no urgency for him to go.Goff has been amazing, now I want to see Ben Johnson actually leave for a Head Coaching gig. I do not understand why he stayed because Assistants do not wait. Anyway, Jerod Goff deserves his success and I wish him the very best just not against the Los Angeles Rams.
Right. Because none of the other guys you mentioned have a good situation either. Saquon, for example, didn't make a massive statistical jump after leaving a bad situation for a good one. Remember that Kurt Warner guy who won MVP twice with our team? The offense around him sure did suck. It's a silly argument. There’s no hate. It’s just sober analysis. It’s the exact same way I look at Purdy and Hurts. Good not great QBs that are being elevated because of their situations. This isn’t unique to Goff.
And it’s not just Lamar, Goff is behind Allen, Burrow, Saquon, and hell probably Jayden Daniels too.
I guess I can understand, but he should not keep waiting because eventually the offers will dry up. Last year how was not the Washington job not a great opportunity? He had new ownership a reenergized fan base plus they were going to draft Daniels? He seems to be waiting for the right situation. Can't blame him on that. There's no urgency for him to go.

I question the Chicago scenario because of suspect ownership which may be the most important part of the equation.I guess I can understand, but he should not keep waiting because eventually the offers will dry up. Last year how was not the Washington job not a great opportunity? He had new ownership a reenergized fan base plus they were going to draft Daniels?
Anyway Chicago seems like the perfect scenario, although they are going to have to meet his salary demands. Apparently he wants big money, but has never been a Head Coach before. We will see how this plays out, but I want to see what Campbell does when he loses Johnson.
In his last 7 games, Goff has 20 TD and only 1 INT. AmazingGoff's passing numbers are better across the board than Darnold's.
Media was on loves nuts last season for putting up numbers like that for half a season. With JG. Not a peep.In his last 7 games, Goff has 20 TD and only 1 INT. Amazing
I remember reading that ownership taking accountability for the situation was one of the things he's looking for in the interview process.I question the Chicago scenario because of suspect ownership which may be the most important part of the equation.
I agree. Even their fans are chanting Sell the TeamI question the Chicago scenario because of suspect ownership which may be the most important part of the equation.
They were saying that too about Dean Spanos and he ponied up and paid Jim Harbarbaugh 15 million a year. Bears ownership has to step up here and I believe they will do that with Ben Johnson. The fans are clamoring for Johnson, the question is, will he want to be in the same division as the Lions?I question the Chicago scenario because of suspect ownership which may be the most important part of the equation.
Well, if ownership ponies up $15 mil., that's a great start! They were saying that too about Dean Spanos and he ponied up and paid Jim Harbarbaugh 15 million a year. Some have him going to Jacksonville, but IMO, that market is not the best even though that he might be able to request the GM he would want to work with. He will be the next Head Coach of the Chicago Bears.

Detroit Lions (14-2) offensive coordinator Ben Johnson has been a hot commodity the last couple years in the head coaching market, and the same remains true for 2025.www.on3.com
I guarantee you if Johnson gets a 5 year deal paying him well the Bears will not fire him. They have proven to stick with their coaches, if they are still under contract. They did that with Matt Nagy & Matt Eberflus.Well, if ownership ponies up $15 mil., that's a great start!
But if I'm Ben Johnson, I'm asking for a guarantee that I won't be fired after year 1. Teams changing leadership too much is part of the reason they remain perennial losers. And I don't trust Chicago ownership's decision making.
IMO, the division you're in is not important. There are only 32 of these jobs, after all.
They're certainly not drying up yet. I'm not sure what he's looking for. We'll see if this year is the year.I guess I can understand, but he should not keep waiting because eventually the offers will dry up. I repeat, literally better across the board.
What if Jim Irsay out-Irsay's himself and fires Shane Steichen? They were saying that too about Dean Spanos and he ponied up and paid Jim Harbarbaugh 15 million a year. He won't unless he pulls a Daniel Farrell Reeves (former Rams owner) and does it on a bender. Reeves fired George Allen on Christmas Day in 1969 after he had a few too many. After the threat of a player revolt, he announced that Allen would return. What if Jim Irsay out-Irsay's himself and fires Shane Steichen?
It's not an opinion. It is a fact. Goff's passing numbers are better across the board. And yes, Goff is having a better season than Stafford. You literally quoted the same stats I just posted. Sorry but I'm not gonna say Goff is better based on such a small margin. But you're welcome to your opinion
By all accounts Goff is better than Stafford too right? Lol
