Was just posting about this. Definitely concerned about McVays "urgency" comment and that's exactly what it means. Lack of work ethic, or focus, or desire to be great. Essentially he's not doing what he should be doing.

But the other concerning part is he has Kupp, Woods, and DJax to learn from. As well as an elite WR coach in Yarber. Thats multiple pro bowl WRs to ask questions to, to watch and study, to learn from in the meeting room. All that knowledge and experience around you and he still cant develop?? Not to mention his body isn't made for the NFL its just not. He cant even make an impact on Special Teams at least!?? Gimme a break what a joke. This will be one of the worst picks of the McSnead era I fear. Just a full panic pick after AZ and SEA picked Moore and Eskridge right before us.

ON punt returns it almost as if he is taking a dive before contact.
Never liked the punt returner idea for him. At least not until he puts on weight.
Other than kicking, punting our ST's are not even remotely improved.

Maybe he has realized he doesn't like to get hit. He is little and he has taken some big shots. I could understand this. I don't like it, but I can understand it. Some guys just don't like the level of contact in the NFL. Can't handle it. Some big guys also, but him being less than 160 he goes down pretty hard when he is hit. No body really knows until they get to the NFL

Felt like a luxury pick at the time but still plenty time for Tutu to turn it round.

We don’t know where Tutu was on the Rams’ draft board, some I’m not necessarily buying the “panic pick” theory.

I do think it was noteworthy that McVay has made a point of praising Van Jefferson for his approach/work ethic. Sending a message, perhaps.

I think they wanted Rondale Moore. He has looked good in AZ but again, it's still early for any of these guys.

I saw a stat last week of where JaMarr Chase stacked up vs rookie WR seasons. A dude called Justin Blackmon was right up there in his first few games. It's too soon to write these guys off either way.

I’m thinking this is a subtle(ish) kick up the arse for Tutu. Let’s hope he responds in the right way.

The difference I see here is that McVay isn't responsible for the Goff draft pick. Atwell is 100% on McSnead, and McVay is starting to show some real irritation with players not giving it their all. Rams fans saw this TuTu pick as a head scratcher from the beginning, and not being able to contribute must have management quite frustrated. Still, TuTu has shown that he can catch the ball as his receptions to target percentage was quite high during the pre-season. Van Jefferson and D.Jax are preventing TuTu's being able to get on the field for offensive plays, but if McVay had high expectations of his having a huge special teams presence, then that is on McSnead. jmo.

He's responsible for that huge contract though so maybe more responsible for the player tbh.
