yeah but he can't. Can't say shit during negotiations, neither side can or will.If those outside voices in his camp aren't saying what he wants he needs to clarify then. All we hear is more money. It's on him to fix miscommunication

Its also being reported he wants more than 50 mil per year which apparently the Rams don't want to meet.

His side already is leaking stuff. His wife does every 4pisode of her podcast. He absolutely can and should say so.ething if these people are wrong.yeah but he can't. Can't say shit during negotiations, neither side can or will.
So he is supposed to come out and say he doesn't want more money? His side already is leaking stuff. His wife does every 4pisode of her podcast. He absolutely can and should say so.ething if these people are wrong.
I mean, they have top a top 5 pass catching room... the QB just isn't the best pass thrower.Eagles just won a Lombardi with a good running/avg passing QB, great RB and great OL/DL. Theres more than one way to skin a Lombardi. I love Staff but if he ain’t available the Rams offense needs to reinvent themselves. Strengthen the run game/TE play and they wouldn’t need an assassin passer like Staff. I for one was extremely disappointed with an offense that struggled so much in 2024. And it wasn’t Staffords fault.
I think the biggest question is Does Stafford consider his salary 27 mill or 40 mill?Does Stafford want to leave for that extra $10M?
Yet you said we don't know so I said it's about the money, what is wrong with that lol.... I think you are in denial of the reports coming out and don't want them to be true. Trust me when I say I rather they not be true but everything being reported is saying the Rams not only gave Stafford's agents permission to seek his value, but have actually had discussions with teams about trade compensation.I laugh at "All the Evidence"
So where are all the big resigning's and extensions on other teams right now?
I'm not sure I've seen one.
Plus, you didn't read what I said very closely - I said other voices have a way of making players think they need more money when its may not originally be a priority to them.
Never said it wasn't about money.
He said there are other QBs that want to play for McVay. Shrager, who also has been unreliable at times said it’s Likely that other QBs want to play for McVay. Shrager is speculating. The other guy stated it as factual. For all we know Rodgers may not want to. He didn’t speak glowingly about that offense. Garapolo may be it for a cheaper option. He is a hack, but isn't he just paraphrasing Schrager here?
Schrager's an interesting one, he never shares enough detailed info that he can be proven wrong with the Rams and only enough info to be vaguely right.
That's fair, and a good point. I just figured there would be.I think the new info (at least to me) was that there are teams willing to match his contract desires. I knew his agent was talking with teams, just hadn't seen that multiple teams are willing to offer what he wants.
Yes, 25' might go poof with no Stafford, unless Rodgers comes here and has a year.Yeah - I don't even think Stafford was that great a lot of last year.
But make no mistake we are borderline a super bowl contender right now.
We ship off Stafford and that goes poof.
As a fan of this team since the 80's and all the shitty years in the 90's and 2000's I just don't see how they can not try to make it work with Stafford.
I don't care how good the young nucleus is - without a QB you are nothing worth talking about in this league, just a pretender.
I mean, would you do it for a 2nd rounder this year and a 4th rounder in 2026 that could turn 3rd if the team that gets him makes the playoffs?Yes, 25' might go poof with no Stafford, unless Rodgers comes here and has a year.
However, move Stafford now for picks, and you might have a dominant roster in 2026 & 2027 with all that extra cap space to retain guys and add a few more.
How about he comes out and says that not everybody talking is saying what he feels or thinks. How about telling his wife and agent to correct themselves. All we hear is from the wife and agent and he's not correcting them and they aren't retracting what they say. But we're supposed to believe that these two people close to him are lying he doesn't really want or think these things? So he is supposed to come out and say he doesn't want more money?
That's your negotiation advice?
He just really can't say anything - just like the Rams really haven't said anything.
He could also go down with a back, neck or head injuries and be done just like Rogers was. Then what? At his age it's more likely than not. I can see the trepidation involved. The harsh truth is Stafford's time as a Ram is coming sooner than later. It's going to happen one day. Doing it too late can also fuck us in the long run. That's where the complications are coming from.
Yeah exactly why these negotiations become contentious and complicated. I totally understand it and it sucks when it reaches these points. I'd much rather we have Stafford but unfortunately these front offices have to take the big picture into account when handing out big contracts. It's pretty dumb not to do so. Pay the man isn't as easy as it sounds. Contracts have consequences one way or another. He could also go down with a back, neck or head injuries and be done just like Rogers was. Then what? At his age it's more likely than not. I can see the trepidation involved.
So as per Peter, who I do not doubt is well plugged in to this situation...
There are teams willing to pay Stafford $50M per.
Does Stafford want to leave for that extra $10M?
Does the team Stafford favors, if appropriate, have the means and willingness to pull the trigger.
I hope so. I really do think this is a super bowl team if all of these pieces stop having dysfunction. Man this team just loves the operating chaos lolI retract multiple sources after misreading an aggregated report and not realizing it comes from a guy I consider a good kid but unreliable source.
My bad.
I do believe Kelly Stafford said as much on her podcast though.
