I would rate Alaric a priority no matter who the QB is. No, he not one of the best at his position. But he's above average. Those guys don't come easy. Plus, the continuity. He knows the system and the guys around him. If they let him walk they could easily do worse.
He's certainly worthy of being locked up, but I think they need to be careful of overpaying him. Dude has missed some time, and isn't an elite on that blindside so try to find that middle ground.

I'm not a draft guru, but those that are have assured me that Dart isn't 1st round material ... but you are talking me into it, dammit!
Yeah he's not first round material. In a strong draft he's probably a round 3 value who goes maybe round 2 due to his ability to make plays under pressure.

Good thing is we have 9 back so while I think they may take a flyer on a QBotF the greater push will be loading weapons around him for this year's run. Let's go get a title and sweat that QB future later. :part:

I agree that he isn't elite. He's no Pace/Ogden/Jones, that's for certain.

But who is out there who is better and available? There's nobody in free agency and a rookie would be a gamble.

Unfortunately, inflation plays its part: you either pay the guy what the market is asking, or you take a risk on an inferior free agent or an unproven rookie.

Huh? Who cares about what, not sure the point of your post.
You were making a point in all caps saying he's never leaving. I'm saying who cares whether anyone called it right or not, he's our QB is the only fact that matters. Thats all I care about. No more guessing, on to the next speculating thread lol

Well, in the end the money didn’t outweigh happiness or legacy
I'm laughiing beacause its says how stafford had no interest in certain teams.

Yet a person I have on ignore and one other chap were telling me what Stafford wants would have no bearing on the team he went to.

Well what do you know... lol.

I’m glad that was a part of the consideration. If it was just about the money then he goes to the highest bidder.

The whole thing is seeming like it was a bluff.

Lol
The only way to claim "victory" in that senseless debate would have required Stafford to not agree to a new deal with the Rams.
Alas....

The point that he wasnt interested in the Giants or Steelers didnt mean he wouldnt have gone there, it meant that the threat of it made the Rams more enticing.

He still had a no trade clause so his wants really made no difference if the Rams would have really been adamant to trade him for the best haul. In the end the Rams and Stafford didn't want that. This is the main reason it worked out. Who cares though..... he's our QB and that's what everyone wanted. These weird semi flex posts are hilarious though and entertaining lol

Clearly stated by multiple sources that the giants, Cleveland and steelers were not considered because Stafford didn't want to go there.

That's because the Rams DECIDED not to pursue that. Once again, he doesn't have a no trade clause. Rams were being decent. However if they were adamant, it wouldn't have mattered what Stafford thought, they could have shipped him whenever they wanted to. I'm just happy we have our QB all bullshit aside.
