So we have a story that's been out there re: Stafford wanting more guaranteed money in his final two years. Rams didn't give it to him. Not sure where this is going, but I have a feeling there may be a little drama before it gets settled.

I don't see any Rams a lama la lala drama. He'll be back. You know why? Les Snead and Sean McVay. Mark it down. Number 9 had a stellar performance, IMO. Shit happens.

Actually, they have an opportunity to redo his deal and reduce his cap number, but it might have to be a 3 yr or 4 yr deal to make it cap friendly.

What would the Rams off season be without drama that likely has no bearing in reality.
Seems certain that the Rams will get this done. But until it's done it's going to be an inevitable topic of conversation, along with whether he will retire.

I think they’ll get it figured out. This team could win it all next year. If this team finished 7-10 and outta the playoffs, some conversations may have been had. But this team exceeded expectations and overcame a boatload of adversity. I think Stafford wants to be paid fair value but I also think he wants to win another Super Bowl more than anything. I think he will be flexible.

I'd like to see this. Hope it happens. Then go get him some fucking weapons.

Yeah not arguing with you I get it, just like it was with AD. Just annoying media speculation.

Yeah - I saw that interview...
My impression was - he wants the palms greased a bit more!
He wasn't about to throw anyone under the bus - but that was my take...

With Staff his guarantees have been paid out for 2025. However, 2026 he can be cut and the Rams save $31M. 2027 Staff is a FA. I imagine they’ll restructure at around $50M with $40M guaranteed for 25-27.

We go into 2027 and should draft a QB to be Staff’s protege.

I think Stafford wants to come back.

I think McVay and Snead want him back.

But from my understanding of his revised new contract, he's essentially a free agent now. Or at least, either side could walk away.

So yeah, there will be some drama-- maybe more than we'd like-- before it gets worked out.

Please don't offend garden statues or useless farm animals with posting your opinions or thoughts so early after a playoff loss.

To your point. Hopefully it's resolved this off season and both sides are comfortable moving forward. He's still playing at a high level IMO (sorry I know you didn't ask that).

Why shouldn't he want a little more guaranteed money ?
After he sees the coin losers like Dak is getting I can see it.
The Rams had the cheapest defense in the NFL. And the richest owner who can afford it.
Pay the man, keep him in horns and on the field for us. He is our best option and a quite good one at that. Continue to build around this stud of a QB. Tell you what, he did not lose the game for us like Goff lost the game for the Lions.
He did another "no look" pass in a playoff game in the fucking snow. He has earned everything he has ever got.
Our best QB since Warner.

I haven't purchased a Rams player jersey since let me think. Hold please. Cooper Kupp back in 2020 prior was JJ21 the Jackrabbit 21. Damn near got a Ramsey 21 and then 5??? . It's time I horn up and finally secure that ....I got N9ne on it. Stafford baby!
