Yeah, I agree. I think the best decision he could make would be to get a haul and draft Watsons successor. Call next year a scratch and build a family in that locker room with a unified front. Too much division will get the team no whereYeah that GM will be out of the league two years from now IMO. You gotta build relationships and be able to compromise to be a GM in this league. Because sitting on a player as valuable as Watson means you're gonna lose and every loss is a milestone along that road to being fired. He's gonna have a ton of them here in the next couple years no way he survives that.
Well, you initially made a point to say it was proof that he was not liked... Then still held it out as a possibility due to no goodbye tweets.
So, you should also consider it a possibility then that it wasn't a popular move with his teammates... Right?
I mean you use that assertion as possible proof. So just showing how absurd that is. Its a nice trick to slander the guy with zero proof of what your saying is true.
I would also think if Goff was the teamate grom hell all this time, that Holmes would know and would have no intention on keeping him.
Oh, and it won't be a long season unless this blows up in their face due to injury or if the drop back pass protection still sucks.
I hope he does what Tom Brady did this yr. The diff is though that this guy has never elevated his team in the past so I have concerns.
I am allowed to express those I hope?
That name, I want to buy some moonshine from him.JimBob Cooter, lol, I had forgot that name, don't know how.

So using the “all in now” concept for 2021 (forget 2022 and beyond). The Rams gave up Goff, a 3rd round pick and increased QB cap payout by $8m to obtain Stafford for 2021. If the offense performs at the same level or improves insignificantly (say by 4 it’s per game) it will be considered a failure. If the offense improves significantly ( 5 -8 pts per game) it’s a success. If it improves dramatically (9+ pts per game) then the 2022 and 2023 first round picks will be quickly forgotten.

Well my bad then... Thought I saw someone mention it was from just a few yrs ago.C'mon.
This was Stafford as a rookie... on a bad Lions team (they had the #1 overall pick and I don't recall them trading up for it).
A 300lb DL LANDS on him (it was legal then) and wrecks his non-throwing shoulder.
Thanks to a Cleveland PI and then TO, he is able to come back into the game with no time on the clock and throw the game tying TD and they scored the GW XP to win it.
It's universally regarded as one of the guttiest performances in NFL history and it was by a rookie on a rebuilding team.
Yeah, the Whiner fans were the least concerned. I believe a lot of them are REALLY factoring in the possibility of Watson. Personally I don't think the Texans will trade him
