Our first round picks will be late 1st rounders anyways its not like we'll be in the top 25. And what did you think it would cost to get rid of Goff's terrible contract? A LOT.

But now we have a legit difference maker at QB that has some of the best arm talent in the NFL. Pairing him with McVay will be fireworks.

I hope for people that hated Goff's tenure here, that he is better. Because if you think that was brutal this or last year, imagine us not making the playoffs this next year. I don't subscribe to the fact Stafford is that much better. And the fact Goff is younger bothers me. And what's absolutely not worth it, is 2 draft picks for a hypothetical situation inwhich Stafford is that much better. I swear to god, Snead better hope he is. And I don't mean touchdowns, I mean wins. I care about results, not gaudy numbers. Isn't that why we are all here? We all know Goff wasn't at his best the last two years, but the results were there. Now we've set up an awful situation for ourselves.

Stafford needs to go deep into the playoffs, or at least get us there in his first year. Because we just lost two premier potential players out of the draft for a 32 year old QB. Anything else is an absolute failure.

Dude I been all over this for the last two months and as far back as last year when mentioned a hypothetical "would you guys do a Watson for Goff + trade" but this is a lot. Even if they hated Goff he is a throw in? 2 firsts? And a 3rd? That's a lot. I'm ok with Stafford but not at that price. Even if Detroit flipped Goff now for 2 seconds they stacked. His contract is decent for the acquiring team.

As a human being the kid won't deal with this to well he a Cali kid luckily he will be in a dome but it's a business and he still has not voiced an opinion good or bad.

We gave up a lot if Stafford 3 years younger I'd be very ok with it but he ain't.

Plus there is Stafford’s bad thumb from last year and his other injuries. Still I like Matthew as a QB. Just too much to pay I think.

The Rams can cut Stafford after next year and take no cap hit at all. But what's the point of trading two future firsts for him if you're going to cut him? They're going all in on Stafford for at least the next two years. I wish them luck.
