I would kill for a top TE in the draft. Usually they seem to be gone by early round 2 but maybe this year we'll be up there high enough to nab one. Higbee has been an enormous disappointment this season and there's nothing there behind him.
Darnell Washington in the 2nd is a very nice thought doubt we can get Mayer. There are 3 or 4 in the 3rd round range that would also be nice.

Yeah he looks shot.... doesn't get open, drops passes... seems a bit lost.

I'll give you a guy who reminds me of George Kittle's situation: Tucker Kraft, TE, South Dakota State. SDSU runs the ball a ton of times, and Kraft is probably the best blocker in the tight end class. But when he was needed to make plays, he did.

I'd love to ditch Hopkins. I'm sorry, but we can't trust him. Kraft would make a much better #2 tight end.

That answers a ton of questions from the site.

Wish him the best. How many OC’s have been robbed from us in 5 years? It’s bound to get not a great one.

If Kingsbury gets canned I could see him being our OC next year.
If his offense was any good they wouldn’t be looking to fire him. Mahomes should be getting a percentage of his checks cuz he’s the only reason anybody’s ever heard of Kingsbury.

McVay would disagree as he was actively trying to add him to our staff before Kingsbury got a HC gig.

And not 100% sure about this either but think rat face was trying to as well.

Yeah I get that it was a move to the NFL and all but this seemed like a demotion. It felt like he was doin* his friend a favor because McVay didn’t have anybody else.
Demotion? 3 guys who worked on this staff are now head coaches, getting on this staff is a great career move. You’re much more likely to get interest than if you’re an OC in college.

For how long? Only one of those 3 is having any kind of success. Staley and LaFleur could be on the way out after this season and that leaves only Taylor who people weren't happy with last year but they've turned it up the second half. But lets look at those 3. MLF was Rams OC one year went to the Titans so called plays one year before getting a job. Zac Taylor called plays for 5 games as an interim OC for the Dolphins. Staley was a DC for one season in the NFL and one in college IIRC.

None of the three guys had an NFL resume like Coen can put together going back to Kentucky as OC. A year as McVay's OC plus three years as a position coach for him. He goes back to Kentucky and their offense is good again after a down year without him added to his already quick time with McVay and he would have a better resume than Taylor, LeFluer or Staley two of which likely get fired this year.

I will keep banging the drum for Tucker Kraft in the fourth round. At the very least, he'll max out as a number 2 blocking tight; at best, he'll be like George Kittle-lite.

Can we get him with our 4th round Comp pick (I think that is the highest comp pick we have)
