When is the last time someone asked for your ACT or SAT score? Standardized tests are a waste of time.
Comes down to application. I am sure that admissions folks in colleges value having that tool for example.
Gardner's theory of multiple intelligences. In other words, being smart at one thing doesn't mean that you're smart at another. This is a pretty inaccurate assessment tool if you're trying to figure out how well a player will play football.
Guess it depends. For example, none of the graduate schools that I applied to wanted to see those scores. And they cared less about your GPA than they did about what you did during undergrad in terms of internships and achievement.
Just do the test where you tell them there was a plane crash exactly on the boarder of 2 different countries. Which country would they bury the survivors? 
I'll just add some 1st hand experience I have with the Wonderlic Exam for those who might think is has no real value or is not an excellent evaluation tool.
I've been a School Director for well over 30 years. I've used the Wonderlic Exam as a part of my Entrance Requirements for all of that time and more going back to 1988. It is one of the best exams available for evaluating basic education level skills that any Post Secondary School can use... I think it is the absolute best. It is also extremely easy to administer and it only takes a max of about 30 minutes to take. That's the basic time limit but most people don't need that much time to complete it.
Someone said earlier that it is easy to tell if someone isn't bright. Well I'm here to tell you that that isn't the case at all. I know this for sure only after watching this very test being given to countless people for decades. There are many people around you every day who seem bright/normal... in other words... someone who is obviously smart enough to go through life without any problems. What most people never realize is that many of the people around you who actually have very poor learning abilities or little to no education are people who are able to mask this weakness of theirs with amazing skill. Many many times... the people who absolutely bomb on a basic test like this one are the last people that you would ever expect to. It is absolutely amazing to me how well many of these people are able to basically completely hide this serious weakness from everyone when you are just speaking to them in person. Rather than seek out the help they might need, these people would rather just try and fake their way through things. I never would have believed just how many people there are out there like this until I used this test as an evaluation tool. And like I said... most of the time it's the last person you'd ever suspect.
Tools like this are extremely important in the school business because it is our job as educators to determine someone's ability to benefit from a class or training program PRIOR to them being accepted into it. This same exact thing applies to real life jobs... and being a professional football player is a real serious job that absolutely has prerequisites for anyone who hopes to be successful doing it.
There are a tremendous number of examples of people who scored extremely poorly on this exam prior to entering the league who failed miserably once they got in. Of course there are a few exceptions to most things... this included. But to say that this test being administered to guys trying to get a job as a player in the NFL is not useful in a very big way is absolutely wrong.
Many years ago I actually posted a real Wonderlic Exam here on ROD for people to try for themselves so that they could see how they scored. I'm sure it's still here somewhere way back in the oldest pages of Ram/NFL talk if you'd like to check it out yourself.

All I remember is Tavon got a 7 and going uh oh
To be fair though - they should only release the scores to certain individuals on each football team but that would probably still have too much possibility of being inappropriately released
I just get the feeling that the whiteboard/chalkboard work they do in pre-draft is more indicative of football IQ than the Wonderlic.

It's a piece of a large puzzle. Personally I think it's important to know whether people are able to think under pressure and how high their intellect might be (in a normal job or the NFL). But certainly isn't something that correlates directly to bad or good performance. But maybe combined with other pieces of the puzzle (work ethic, attitude, attentiveness, etc) it starts making the picture a little more clear. I can't imagine any scouting department being happy about having less information about a player. I'm sure none are going to consider it a huge loss though.
The passing score for my school's entrance requirement is only a 14... so maybe that makes some of the scores you might be looking at not seem so bad. There are adjustment added points for certain things too.
