If you can't see the difference between that post and your stuff the last 3 days then there's no help for you but its all up to you.
Whatever...

I'm not going to argue over one of your posts that resembles one of those "what if" questions that my little sister would bring up .... "What if Donny Osmond's voice hadn't changed so much during puberty."

I don't think I am (missing the point)

When a pass hits you in the facemask I think it should be caught.... especially by your best receiver....
It wasn't my point when I wrote the post. So yeah. You missed my point. The point was the wind. Not the fact that the pass was incomplete.
It was an example of why the wind could be a big issue. Not an excuse for why he missed it.

Whatever...

And you revert back to the lowest common denominator

Congratulations

Wasn't Nacua a little late getting his head around to see the ball coming ?
It went right through his hands and smacked him in the facemask is what I saw there.

That could be it... I'll have to check the replay. I'm just having a hard time with the wind effect of the pass. The pass looked straight as an arrow to me.

Hello, everyone. I'm new here to the forum. It looks like a fun place to hang out. I began my Rams fan journey watching Roman Gabriel and Merlin Olsen in the 60s. One of my concerns is Davante Adams. Is he an asset or a liability to the passing game? Is it my imagination or does he seem to occasionally drop clutch passes in key situations more than other receivers?

Welcome! I think Adams has been a great addition if for no other reason than he upgrades our red zone offense tremendously. There have been issues between him and Stafford whether its drops or timing or some route difference but to me those are outweighed by him being on the field in the red zone.

Welcome aboard, DA is a tremendous asset, that being said he does not have Puka's ability in contested catch situations (but who does) and he has nowhere near Pukas hand strength. His in breakers and get off are still elite

DA has always been a bit sensitive to being hit in the pattern. He's been vocal about it in the past when he feels his QB isn't leading him well.

In that last game DA went into his shell somewhat after that big hit. IIRC he had a couple irritating drops after that. But it was one hell of a hit by Scott.

Obviously he's an asset. Not even a question. His redzone potency and what he provides the offense as an alternative to Puka and deep threat has made him a slam dunk addition to this offense. On top of that Stafford being the league's best QB this year and deserving of MVP is more proof.

But yes his drops are annoying. He's just so good otherwise that you need to live with it.

Yes. I was born in Los Angeles. I grew up in Hawthorne as a little kid through high school in the 60s and 70s. I then graduated from Loyola Marymount Univ. I now live in Thousand Oaks. Actually I live a half a block away from where the Rams use to practice at Cal Lutheran University. I could here them yelling calls during practice from my front door. It was so cool. This season they moved to Woodland Hills.

Welcome! There's an introduction thread that's pinned on the Rams forum, so feel free to introduce yourself there.

As far as Davante goes, yes, he drops a few passes, but that's every receiver in the league who gets forced fed; even the greatest NFL receivers are only human, after all. Ultimately, I think he's an enormous asset in the redzone; the stat of leading the NFL in receiving touchdowns doesn't lie. Stafford obviously trusts him, and he's a solid veteran for guys like Nacua, Whittington, and Mumpfield (plus any receiver or receivers whom we might draft/trade for next year) to learn from to know how to approach the game.

Well worth the RZ production.

2024 (w/Kupp) 33 RZ TD (#13) 63 RZ Poss (#9) 52.4% (#25)
2025 (w/Adams) 48 RZ TD (#1) 76 RZ Poss (#1) 63.2% (#7)

Bottom line is, the Rams have not had a problem getting to the Red Zone (actually 13 more this year). The problem was scoring TDs there. Up 15 TDs this year. +10.8%. Well worth it. And it's not just the RZ TDs he scores but the attention defenses have to pay him. We had 3 RZ TDs vs Carolina and none were by Davante.
