The talk on Chicago sports is the Bears are going to play a lot of nickel/dime defense in the secondary to slow the Rams passing attack down. I'm sure McVay has taken that possibility into account. There's not much Stafford hasn't seen along those lines though.

We know the Panthers went nickel many times and that didn't slow Stafford down throwing the ball, he still shredded them. Then there's this buzz about Stafford in Cold weather, as well as his finger (whether it's really ok).

Sunday's coming...:thumbsup1:

They go nickel and dime, we go 13 personnel and ram it down their throats. Their run defense is already suspect right?

People love associating themselves with popular cities, whether they were actually born there or not.
Not me! Chicago born and raised until age 18 when I joined the Navy in 1972. Been a White Sox, Bulls, and Blackhawks fan all my life. Only in football am I not a Chicago fan...but I'm for the Bears when they play anyone but the Rams. Been a Rams fan always since 1966!!!

Magen's Bay is located in Saint Thomas. Trunk Bay and Caneel Bay are in Saint John. I do not know their current status, but these three beaches have perennially been considered three of the ten most beautiful beaches in the planet.
Ahhhh......my bad!!! Trunk Bay is the picture I posted!!! That shot is about 20 years old so forgive me for my lapse of memory. Never was good with names!!! Those beaches are quite beautiful. I spent my honeymoon in St. Croix (where Cruise Ships couldn't go....I don't know if that's changed) and the most gorgeous beach was at Davis Bay. I forget the name of that one too but Davis Bay is where they filmed The Island of Dr. Moreau. The Virgin Islands are my favorite vacation spot.

I try to stay disengaged on cruises, it's part of the charm

These days with sports betting it's hard to get away from the games. I was on a cruise a few weeks ago and the games were pretty easy to find, either in the sports bar or on one of the decks with a pool, they had the Rams on a 40 or foot big screen by the pool. You don't really even need wifi unless you are that dependant on it.

Stafford has no yards rushing...BUT...DON'T BANK ON THAT SUNDAY NIGHT!!! If the Bears are in dime trying to stop the pass game, Stafford has to take that "parting of the Red Sea" he sees out there and we've seen him do it. It's been a long time since we've seen Stafford take off from the pocket.

Sometimes, when Stafford breaks free from the pocket (which happens occasionally) I think he has the space to gain some yards. He rarely makes it because he runs like a 37-year old who didn't run fast ten years ago.

There was actually a play just like that on the 4th down incompletion to Higbee late in the 1st half.

I just don't think Stafford has the ability to 'take-off' ... especially on a slow surface (due to cold weather) ... Ever watch an old man move around in cold weather? ... We are fucking Pathetic!

However, if it's 3rd and one or two; and the Bears expect a pass, and go with a more traditional D-Line set-up ... instead of short-yardage ... I could see Stafford putting his head down and sneaking.

Although that's not a strength of his, there was a play just like that on 3rd and one in the 4th quarter; and Stafford easily gained two-plus yards. Two plays later he hit Williams for the TD to make the score 27-24.

Yeah... not a great idea. One... He is very slow -lol. And two... I would hate to see a linebacker take him out as he is trying to get to the first down marker, which you know Stafford would try to do in an important game like this. Like your aggressiveness though!

I think he rarely takes it because he finds someone open most of the time. Were not talking about "scrambling" we're talking about "open straight ahead" yardage. I've seen him do it!

Seriously though ... if you're suggesting a sneak/push for a couple yards ... then we are saying the same thing.

If you're suggesting a designed run up the middle against a Light Box ... I really do NOT see that.

That being said, I have been told that I lack Imagination.
I do NOT agree with that either. Every time I visit the Booty or Boobie threads, my Imagination runs wild!

No. I'm saying Stafford drops back to pass and sees the middle of the field wide open in front of him...HE'S GOING TO TAKE THAT YARDAGE!!!

IT'S THE PLAYOFFS...AND YOU DO WHAT YOU GOTTA DO!!!
