Now come on guys. Reeder has made some important plays. Just not consistently. He stoned the whiner RB for a 1 yard loss on 3rd and 1 inside the 10 in the 4th quarter. It kept them to a field goal to make it 24 to 14 and the rams wouldn't have come back and won that game last year without that play. our only win in the 1st 5 games. He has made other plays. I hated him as our starter in place of Jones and in front of Speights, but he is better than any of the guys who got cut this year.

I hate that theory and it’s driving me crazy the number of times you are repeating it! Even though you are probably right! :)
LOL. I'm repeating it because it has been 100% predictive. And like an anal asshole, I'm driving the point home. I'm gonna drop it soon though.

Yeah.. imma drop it.. no need for me to go into Raheem mode, lol.

I disagree… and so do the guys who make the decisions. And.. no, they’re not always right… but they’re right a lot.
That’s fine. I personally feel like fans deserve to know the reasons for these types of decisions. And it gets old just having everyone chalk up to “fans are stupid and coaches know best” when it’s actually like 50/50 most of the time.

I think Paul will be a much better linebacker than Reeder. He made some plays in the first preseason game that Reeder would never have made. That run to the sideline to push the guy out of bounds was an impressive play. But unfortunately, Paul got hurt in the game and that set him back. I see him making it to the PS and replacing Reeder mid year (at least I hope so).

His ability to make a base level of plays and know his job is a known.

Paul is pure projection.

They’re developing 2 young LBs and brought in a guy who does what he does, but better.

Paul will, odds are, make it to a PS.
Sorry he doesn't make plays, he may know the defense better than the coaches. But you will never convince me or likely most people here that Reeder can make plays.

I heard he got hurt earlier in training camp. I also remember him getting hurt in the San Diego game. So you maybe right. But they had him out on the field the whole Browns game and he did nothing but arrive for clean up.

The Reeder hate on this board is insane. If the coaches want him on the team, it's for the betterment of the team. They know better than you do.
No hate at all, he's just not that good sorry for wanting more and more potential.

Did you watch that game. There were a six or seven plays that really stood out and shows potential.

But again he is a rookie that missed too much time. So it will be a bit to get him up to speed just like Speights last year.

Go look at the video of Paul shown earlier on this thread.

I've seen similar plays against Reeder last year where the runner would get 10 to 15 yards because he diagnoses the play badly.

Yup. But the point is they play two separate positions. Landman and Reeder will not really be asked to run to the sideline in this defense and if they are, the Dline screwed up a bit. And Dolac seems to be considered superior to Pooh in that role.

Bulk tackles is not making plays that's the worst argument ever.
I posted this article because it answered your question.

Reeder was on pace for more than 100 tackles this season, and he was wearing the green dot on his helmet, meaning that he's the one relaying the defensive call from the coaches.
