Yes it should matter if he's actually guilty of a crime lol. Wtf kinda answer is that?
Put me in the "that shit doesn't matter" category when it comes to my evaluation of the guy as a human being.

I'm not stomping my foot against him, as people can learn/grow/change... but, I didn't need him to be found guilty or even charged of anything to know he's a piece of shit.. or, at least, was.

"Not guilty of a crime" doesn't really mean anything when it comes to right/wrong, moral/immoral...

Because he did it, admitted it, made apology regarding it but was not "convicted" of any crime.

It was caught on video, no one cares what a court thinks when you can watch it yourself

He fucked up and has been well behaved since then. Gotta move on and give people a chance to become better human beings. I'm sure there are many people out there that have done more fucked shit and changed their lives for the better after the fact. Difference is, their life isn't broadcasted like that. Shit, we had Leonard Little on our squad and he killed someone because he basically made a bad decision that many people have been fortunate to not have happen to them. He kept himself outta trouble, end of story. People can change.

Not to be all high and mighty but... what hunt did isn't just a matter of a bad decision. That was being a piece of shit at his core. No thanks.

It still matters. 2020 should have taught us something about human nature. Crowd mentality is as disgusting as what Hunt did in the context of what we know.

I think we are all in agreement we hated seeing what was in the video. I am not a fan of his, but I like to give 2nd chances........third time is not a charm though :)

Of course he was a piece of shit, but holding a person to a bad act for the rest of their lives is crazy to me. Not saying this is applicable to all pieces of shit, but sometimes bad shit has to happen to people to change. It sucks, but that's sometimes the case. Gotta give people a chance to get their shit together as we aren't all perfect. Also, no worries, I get people's stance against him since this probably hits harder for some people depending upon their beliefs, life experiences, etc.

What Hunt did was unacceptable. But I agree with Chapo, most deserve a second chance. Just for shits and giggles, which was worse.....Hunt's behavior that infamous night or Lawrence Phillips behavior prior to getting released? And one of the nicest guys ever to coach an NFL football team gave LP a 2nd chance.

Gotta totally agree 100% here. Classic American fad to condemn someone when they did equal to worse shit in their past and call somebody else out and hold them accountable for their actions when on tape or caught. Americans love to see someone fall from grace. It's our culture.

Both were at fault for that altercation, Kareem shouldn't have went back in the hallway and went to bed and that dumb chick shouldn't have went and squared up with a man and slapped him. (then in the police interview is crying saying you don't know why anything happened)

Did she need medical attention? :eyeroll:

Stupid drunk people win stupid prizes. Case Closed.

I'm tired of trading away 2nd and 3rd rounders for potential one year rentals. The Von situation hurt us pretty bad and that came after winning the SB. Looks like we won't be as good this year so I'd think it would be harder to keep people around. Again, one RB or Edge isn't going to get us into the SB conversation this year sorry.

I too am tired of trading 2nd and 3rd round picks.

On the flip side, we have not hit on those picks on a long time. We might be better off trading them, as long as it is a player we can retain for some years post-acquisition that has enough useful years left.

Ernest Jones is a 3rd round pick.

I'm all for 2nd chances for certain things. Smoked a little weed no problem. Stole some shit no problem. Said some shit no problem. Slapping a woman around then find your second chance someplace else.

I'm certainly not giving up more then a future 4th for a one year rental on Hunt. He's likely looking for his last contract after this year, so probably going with highest bidder, which we really shouldn't be in the category of. I'd get the edge trade done before I dabble in a RB trade. Need our chips for what we really badly need.

Trading them for a player and negotiating a long term deal, yes absolutely. I have no problem with that at all. But trading them for a potential 1-yr rental is a gamble we cant afford right now IMO. We won the super bowl and then lost Von, so it hurt but didn't hurt as bad as it could've. If we lose a 1yr rental after having a terrible year it would be catastrophic. I would hope we learned from the Von situation and had a deal in place for anyone we traded for now. Maybe that's the part of these potential trades that's holding up things.

The funny thing about "hurt us so bad" is we've done it, over and over. We traded for Dante Fowler. Helped get us to the Superbowl. Hell, made the play that got us to the SB. Played for us the following year and we didn't get to a SB. Signed Leonard Floyd and didn't get to the SB. Signed him to a 3 year deal and helped get us to the SB. Traded for Von Miller and he helped get us to a SB. It's what we do.

Drafted Rapp in the 2nd, Evans, Long and Henderson in the 3rd.
Drafted Akers and Jefferson in the 2nd, Burgess and Lewis in the 3rd
Drafted Atwell in the 2nd, Jones in the 3rd
Drafted Bruss in the 3rd

11 picks, 3 or 4 decent players (so far). How much are we losing, exactly, by trading them for an established player?

Yeah, knowing Les and Sean’s feelings about the type players they want plus their own family backgrounds I’d be curious to see if Hunt is even in play for us. Guess we’ll find out soon.
